Edit: I hated gambit - Because gambit was one of the most frustrating people to read in a comic full of frustrating to read people.
See in comics they transcribe accents and a cajun accent is hard enough to understand spoken. Imagine if you will

"Don worry dahlin. We gon to rush dat compound soon nuff member? At midnigh." That is very frustrating to read when you're eight and dyslexic.

It was Magneto and Xavier's idea to create the X-Men so I suppose you could think of him as one. Many of the X-Men are religious, but I couldn't name one for anyone besides Kurt. Honestly? Most comics don't even bring it up because it is hardly ever relevant.

Marvel also goes through the times. Went through the racism of the Cold War, the feminist movement, and now gay rights movement (all of which tick me off, STAY OUT OF ME COMICS).

Having only really seen the films, and a few X-Men cartoons, they were quite new, dunno how accurate they were, can someone explain why Wolverine is not an X-Man, and if he isn't is Beast?

Both are X-Man. Only that Wolverine is a "lonely hurr hurr" type, while, well, Beast is a scientist. Even if he's a giant monster-esque animal that can throw cars, doesn't mean he will.

I'm going with the Juggernaut. Doesn't count? Crap. Then... Gambit. He's the only one that has defeated Wolverine within few seconds.

1. Charge his staff with energy.
2. Ram the staff into Logan's mouth.
3. Boom.

so the guy who can manipulate fire is named ICEMAN, wierd I always thought it was PYRO, also beast is one of the original X-men, and for the OP, if you are saying wolverine is not and x-man, how can you then say Gambit, he has just as much of a messed up past, and in the last several years has only actually been with x-men a few times and has fought against them aswell.

Nightcrawler and his BAMF beats everyone and is my #1, but i do not like what they did to him in the movies. Deadpool is a close seconed he has worked with them before and even got his own costume, but everyone else says he is not an x-man so I don't think he counts. Gambit is an ass. All he does is betray people and he is not all that useful. I don't see why people keep working with him and not shoot him on sight.
