Personally, FEAR 3 is ok, but it has problems. It's heavily action focused now, little atmosphere and it's so blatantly linear health packs and Kevlar are gone. By blatantly linear, I mean I find a door that could be opened, but says "locked" when I approach it, then a whole bunch of bad guys come and fight me till they die then it magically opens. The first and second FEAR at least seemed large enough to warrant some exploration.
The action is almost non stop; it feels like there's no pacing. This game also isn't anywhere near being creepy since there's little time between gun fights.
It's obvious that the whole game was focused around Co op, even when you play single player. It throws scores at you regardless of having a buddy play with you. IT even gives you an arbitrary score at the end of each chapter.
Environments don't even look that good. For example: I had entered a house from a suburban street and I happened to glance at a window. What I saw was what looked like a cardboard stage set background of houses behind glass.
On the upside, they did add a sticky cover system similar to Killzone 2/3, if anyone knows what I mean.
As much as I enjoyed FEAR 1 and 2, the 3rd is probably the end of FEAR in general.
Anyone else have their own inputs? I would like to read them.
