Do you go through phases in your life where you're almost paranoid about something? Like, a fear that you constantly think about but goes away a certain amount of time?
I was really afraid of aliens. I though I was in a simulator.
Then the dark.
Then dying and going to hell.
Then school.
I get, like, a fear every year.
Maybe two at once.

I haven't gone through a really fearful phase yet. It might happen, and it might not. I don't know. I'd hope that it doesn't though.

Well, I'm still afraid of spiders, more or less... not much else.

I was afraid of the dark until about 16 (a long time, I know), then I somehow got over it. I still don't know what happened.

Not so much phases as what I am intensely aware of changes on the fly.
Note that I'm not exactly fearful of it, I just expect it to happen with frequency.

This is unnerving when it rolls around to aliens. Not even the many-clawed beasties, I mean the little grey fuckers. Christ but they weird me out.

Um, I have fears but don't normally reveal them but, to my fellow escapists: here's my biggest: Losing my family. They mean the world to me. I was married before and had the security of a set future of a wife and, eventually, a child ripped away from me and that tore me up. Also, my wife is the reason that I'm not dead or in jail right now so I owe her my life. I've even got her name tattooed on my ring finger.

After I watched ...agh. I can't remember the name.
There were spirits or ghosts living in tapes and electronics...stuff like that. And the guy was looking for his wife or something.

I don't remember right now, but I do remember that when I watched it I stayed away from my computer at night.

Over the years I have developed many fears. Cockroaches, spiders, open water, the dark, creepy pasta, cockroaches...

Yeah. I really hate cockroaches *shudders*

I have a huge fear of death, it always sends chills down my spine to know I will some day stop thinking and then there will be nothing.
The only thing that scares me more is knowing the universe will end and that we have no chance of escape.
I'm already having a panic attack from thinking about this, it's terrible..

God, I hate spiders. That's more of just a fear.
You know when you're sitting at your desk and you brush your foot against your leg in the dark? That's not your foot.

Well, first there was the dark. Lasted for 5 years.

Than there was the fearful combo of death and future, SIMULTANEOUSLY! Lasted a week. God that was a depressing week...

Other than that, now I have no real fear. I have fought them and won.
Now it's just to live my life until the next kind of fear goes up onto the platform.

As a kid, I watched the Sleepy Hollow-style episode of Scooby Doo, and developed a fear of being alone in case a headless horseman might come. (I knew he wasn't real, but he was still pretty **** scary!)

I don't really go through phases of intense paranoia or fear, but I go through periods where I'm more frightened of one thing or another.

I used to be intensely afraid of the dark. Still am afraid, but now I fear hospitalization much much more.

I was afraid of my own mortality for a while, then I was afraid of letting others da staeown; now I live in a state of almost complete apathy.

Not scared of spiders. Not scared in the slightest.

Cockroaches freak me the fuck out though.
