Now I'm not usually a fond of fan made projects, but for a while I was playing Super Mario Bros. X by Redigit (and others) and I began to notice a few features it had that I wished Nintendo would incorporate into actual official Mario games such as the ability to lob fireballs/ice balls in an upward arc. Also you could throw the hammers from the Hammer Bros suit out in front of you like the fireballs instead of in the inaccurate upward arc (which you could still do if you wanted). So my question is, have you ever played a fan game that had features you wished would be incorporated in an official release?

I've played precisely one fan made game and that was the Attack on Titan tribute game. There was a Japan only release of a proper licensed 3DS game that from what i've seen was QTE filled and generally mediocre. What do you expect? Cash in movie games must exist over there too.

Basically the fan game is exactly what an AoT game should be, namely freely grappling around a city trying to swing around Titans to hit their necks without getting instakilled with a group of other people. It brings about those badass moments where a guy has been caught and the second before he gets nom'd some heroic boss swings in and kills it a split second before. Or more likely, he fucks up his trajectory and gets killed by another Titan two feet away. This is still set in the AoT universe remember?

You have Titans of differing size, Abnormals (people have expressed a phobia of jumpers and I don't blame them) and all playable characters aren't just model swaps and have their own special ability. Petra and Levi are obviously God Tier (Levi can do the thing where he flies over a Titan's shoulder and it drops dead behind him, it's insanely hard to do) with Mikasa in third. Though I only play Sasha because she has a potato powered speed boost.

It has a load of little details, you can run out of gas (though that takes some serious effort,) you can break your blades and there's a salute button. As we all know, the stabbing heart salute is the best thing about the entire anime.

Oh and you have to have the music in the background, it makes the game 10 times better.
