Like, really fucking sad.

It's cool bro they're still around and will be doing everything they have before sans Unskippable. And honestly with the Patrion Mystery box they may do an unskippable esque thing in the future. And hey they do like 40 hours a week of streaming video games anyways.

I know, just...end of an era here.

One more thing to watch on Youtube I guess, and one fewer reason to visit here.

And for some reason I can never sync my schedule to watch what I want to watch on their stream.

So by now it's pretty much official that the Escapist has some sort of terminal illness that causes it to repel video content, right? I'm really just waiting for the day Yahtzee announces his leave and that'll be the final nail in the coffin for this site as far as i'm concerned.

So by now it's pretty much official that the Escapist has some sort of terminal illness that causes it to repel video content, right? I'm really just waiting for the day Yahtzee announces his leave and that'll be the final nail in the coffin for this site as far as i'm concerned.

Rest assured, we have more video shows in the works and ZP's not going anywhere. With any luck, the shows we're bringing on will have the same kind of incredible run we've had with LRR these past several years.

We're incredibly sad to see LRR go, as we've had an exceptional relationship with the crew for going on forever here at The Escapist. Unfortunately, as Graham mentioned, viewership is down on Unskippable. It doesn't make sense for us to continue the show with the current agreement, and it doesn't make sense for LRR to continue the show at lower rates.

What the heck is a dash hound, anyway? ^_^

I though they said "dash hound" at first, but then I looked up Teckel (the dog in the story is one) on Wikipedia and turns out ... well ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dachshund

Yeah, I knew what she meant (hence the ^_^ smiley), I just find it funny that she, like so many English-speakers (particularly in North America), have such a difficult time with the pronunciation.

I'm an English speaker from North America, and this is surprisingly the first time I've ever heard dachshund not pronounced like "docks-hoond" with the oo in there meant to be pronounced like book.

I'm also an English-speaker from North America (Ohio born and raised). I had always heard it pronounced "docksoond" or "doxsund" or something similar, as well ... up until just the last couple of years, when I'm suddenly noticing people pronouncing it "doshund" or "dashoond" or something similar to that. It doesn't seem like all that difficult a word. This was the first time I'd ever heard anyone pronounce it "dash hound" though. Odd.
