Learnt how good older games are. Favourites would mostly be RPGs most notably Earthbound and is currently near the end of Persona 4 then will move the Dragon quest IX then the other 18+ I got out of fear that I'd forget to get them once I had the free time. Plus it nearly being my birthday I'll most defiantly get more which will pile up and I'll probably have done once I'm out of school.

A Finn here. So not really an Aussie, but close enough. I just can't resist if I'm specifically excluded.

Counter-Strike: Source, obviously, and DA2 along with Civilization V at the moment.

Earthbound is AMAZING. I'd never really paid attention to it but my American partner who grew up with it insisted that I play it when he moved here and I was just blown away. I know I didn't list it but it's certainly up there with my all time favourites.

I have Persona 4 and Dragon Quest IX but I haven't really played either of them yet. I've been loving P3P though, and I'm sure DQIX is gonna be great.

A South Aussie here. Right now I'm sorta playing Amnesia:The Dark Descent. If you want a good scare then definitely play it.

Queenslander here. Surfers Paradise. Work at EB Games. Have around 450 games on Steam and 250 console games on all 4 consoles. So yeah, my taste is pretty diverse. I do tend to favour the japanese made games more then others.

I'm from Adelaide. Work nights, study Games and Entertainment design by day. Just recently got done with Bulletstorm (which was cool, if short) and I'm working my way through Pokemon Black now. I love most genres, but I'm a sucker for Bethesda RPGs. Morrowind was the game that made me decide game design was what I wanted to do with my life.

Who else here is an Aussie, what do you do? What are your favourite games?

I work for the government now but I used to be a games tester. I love CS:S, RPG's like Oblivion (heavily modded), and have been playing way too much League of Legends lately.
Aussie is a little unprecise do you mean Australian or Austrian?
since both call themselves aussie XD

Earthbound is indeed AMAZING, I'm glad I saw a review from another site which made me give it a go.
I do recommend Persona 4, mainly because I tend to have higher regard to RPGs which lose the idea that it is a smart idea to make it so you have absolutely no idea when you're getting into a fight. I'm not sure if I recommend Dragon Quest IX yet due to lack of playing, but it seems good for a game I got because I recalled hearing good things about the series and couldn't find many other JRPGs that are on the DS.

Just out of curiosity, what was it like trying to get into that profession?
Honestly? It really isn't what you know, it's who you know. It really does pay to network. I was an assistant to commercial photographers for about five years and after I went away for my honeymoon for a few months my work dried up. Luckily I knew some people in newspapers and they got me through the door to an interview. They put me on as a casual, you use your own gear and there is no guarantee of work, I did that for two years, then got a full time position five years ago.

Queenslander. Uni student. I'm playing HeartGold, Resident Evil 5 and Monster Hunter Tri. And I'm re-watching Firefly. Not at the same time; I can't multi-task that well ... yet.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I saw Wicked. To say the least, it was wicked!
