Uh, no. Man, am I the only one who talked to the female ambassador on Tuchanka? 'Cause there was a (perfectly healthy) female ambassador on Tuchanka.

[sub]DISCLAIMER: When I used the phrase "am I the only one..." I did NOT mean it literraly. I was using a fairly well known figure of speech/hyperbole, which is a perfectly acceptable use of the English language. Do NOT quote me saying "you are never the only one". Even ironically. Just don't.[/sub]

EDIT: Yes, I know I just doubled posted to say the exact same thing twice, but this is kind of bugging me. You meet a female krogan in ME2, people!

The original reason was because they didn't have the time (or was it money?) to add more than one gender for the alien species in Mass Effect 1. Now though, I'm not sure what the reason is. They've had time to at least throw in a few here and there.

There was an ambassador TO the female camps.

BioWare has openly said that they haven't made female models for Krogans.
Dammnit, really? I quoted like 3 different people. I feel very stupid now.

We have seen Female Krogan havent we? There was a group of them on the Homeworld, in a special all female clan. Looked the same, except for a slightly lighter voice
this. they spoke of them even.

besides that though i think they are just a unisex.

Ah yes, lady turians. The female sect of militant bird-people allegedly hiding from your Shepard. We have dismissed that claim.

The developers have said that for some species, it may be impossible to tell what gender they were, equating them to real world animals.
I think they were referring to the Krogan in this respect, but I guess it could be the case for a number of species.

In fact trying to picture a female Elcor or Krogan is kind of terrifying.

Though they did give a good reason for Salarians, the females of that species are generally put into positions of power and respect and leadership, not leaving their homeworlds.
weren't krogan women send to camps too?

Female turians don't look what you think they look like. Fun fact, they don't have boobs. If the groundskeeper is any indication at least. He mentions that they have no boobs.

He starts talking about it at 0:44 or so.

So yeah, not every female creature has boobs. You have no idea what they look like. Or sound like. Or anything really.
Them Funny Bumps.
OT: They would but as numerously stated here, Time Restrictions

They wanted to add Turian females, hang on, I'll get a concept art...

I threw a bit up inside my mouth seeing a naked Turian.
It's like disturbing fan art... except made by the developers.
Did they really have to include "It's internal"?

The female Krogan are kept in a separate camp from the males and only Krogans are to see them. A Krogan male must undergo their ritual to even see them and try to mate with them. This is all because of the genophage, thus making the females extremely important.

In ME2, the ambassador to the female camp threatens you if you attempt to go near the "curtain" that blocks the female camp.

I always thought the Hanar were genderless like the Asari, same for the Turians at first until I heard Garrus and some others mention females during ME1.

A lack of Salarian, Volus, Elcor or Batarian females just seems like more of a design oversight, possibly that it didn't end up being worth the time designing the models when something else could be achieved? That or, I dunno, some kind of explanation about gender roles being much more ingrained/fixed in some alien cultures? I dont know- we'll see what comes of it in Mass Effect 3, especially if they plan on putting in more alien homeworlds.

We should be asking about female Reapers. Now that would be a romance challenge worth tackling!

That point of information between the male turians legs? Ye I could have survived without knowing that......
Oh god now I can't stop thinking about it!

OT: Just because it seems somewhat relevant I managed to convince my sister and brother-in-law to name their next girl Tali.

I remember that guy. He does have an unusually high/clear voice for a male krogan, so I thought he was a female too at first.

How would you be able to tell? Lizards don't have breasts, and other than that, they would probably have different gender differences.
What's the gender?
