FFX glitch

I just got a copy of Final Fantasy X for my PS2 and have started a new game. I got to the point where you meet Auron, then there's a cutscene. At the end of it, when you see Auron again, Tidus glitches out and ends up stuck inside Auron.
Its the European version on a Euro console if that helps.

I'm a massive FFX nutter/100% completionist and I've never seen that before.

Not sure what to suggest other than load an earlier save maybe and hopefully it won't happen again.

i considered that, but i lost my old memory card. probably shouldve mentioned that in the OP.

That seems like an odd glitch. I've played FFX a lot, even bought the international edition, and never experienced a glitch like that. Is it hindering your ability to continue the game? If so then all I would recommend is starting over since you said you lost your old memory card. Wish I could be more helpful.

Never happened to me. I think it'd be awesome if that happened to me (as long it didn't keep happening, like a once off thing)

I got the PAL version of the game on an Australian PAL PS2 (so basically it's pretty much the same as what you got in terms of region codes etc.)

Have you tried running that part again to see if it happens again? I'm assuming you're talking about the part near the start.

i cant take pics i havent got a cap card etc. and i do have a memory card, i just lost the old one with my FFX saves on it.
and ive tried restarting it, hasnt helped. the only reason im trying to find a way to sort it is because its a pretty rare game in the UK.

did you check if the disk is scratched/scuffy? where did you buy the game? is it legit?

They're are a number of X-2s caught up in the search but, anyway, there are a fair few copies in their that you could buy. Unless you said rare as in you want to sell the game or something then just ignore this post...

I've played through this game A LOT and I've never encountered that glitch - my best bet is that your disc is damaged. You can pick FFX up for pretty cheap. I know you shouldn't have to, but if it stops you from proceeding then there isn't really much else you can do really...
