play the mortal kombat theme song while reading this thread for full effect.

i have come to a stunning realization about myself. i love to fight. i'm trying to convince my folks to sign me up for MMA, and i wrestle. i dabble in some sparring with my marine friend, and i'm just an all around fighty guy.

am i a bad person, and how is your attitude toward fighting? are you a pacifist that shuns it and avoids it at all costs, or are you like me and ready and willing to throw down whenever?

What does pacifism have to do about fighting? Oh...you seem to mistake fighting to be synonymous with killing. They are completely different. I know quite a few pacifists who take up a martial art or boxing for personal defense. I used to be confused about that, too.

Nah, there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you don't take it out on anyone, it should be fine.

I think you could be considered a good person for taking up these fighting things. Stops you randomly taking out on something or someone you might regret later.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. I have no problem with either fights or people in them, but I have a pathetic tolerance for pain. Wouldn't take it up myself.

If I had to I'd fight, but I wouldn't personally do it for recreation.

And you can't really call someone a bad person for wanting to fight, as lng as they've thought about it rationally and have a willing opponent.

Join the Society for Creative Anachronism in your area, and get involved in the armoured combat. With parental permission, you're allowed to start in Youth Armoured Combat at 16, and you can participate fully in regular combat at 18.

Still, it good that you've come to terms with a valuable evolutionary reaction, decided you enjoy it, and want to channel it in a way that won't harm your ability to remain a member of 'regular' society.

God, I hate the thought that I have to call it 'regular' society, when it's really not normal, to begin with.

The life's a game about your own survival and well-being. And your fighting classes probably increased it by 2% - 10%.

I am all for fighting in that reason, but I am not stupid enough to fight when I'm over my head or when it's not necessary.

So... Barely any at all. Last time I took a fist up at someone,
was on my brothers arm because he was teasing me when I was in a very stressed-out mood.
(I was playing Halo 3 and... Things were not working out. Yeah...)
