If I have post-its I methodically fold them in a way that is remarkably pleasing to my OCD.

We need details. Do you fold them into planes? Extra polygons? Mouse napkins?

I freestyle while trying to see how bad can I make it before it's too good to keep on going with the current establish rhythm scheme ...

Other than that, write anything with a pencil... Something's bound to sound as fucked up as my imagination...
Do you also do shading? I like shading. Particularly the perverse and meticulous kind, done by half-light.

Continue designing mods and writing code either in my head, or on nearby paper. This then gets turned into actual stuff very, very, VERY slowly when I get home, as I do it for fun, and there's so much more I also do for fun that tends to get in the way. But it wastes nothing time like nothing else.

Yes, but I prefer to do it with charcoal... It comes out better no matter what for me...

It's a little embarrassing to admit this, but if there's absolutely nothing else to preoccupy my mind, I pretend my life is a video game, or movie, and I'm a reviewer going over it. In my mind, I talk about how intricately the "dynamic lighting contrasts well with the real-time shadows", as well as how details in "textures" reflect their environment appropriately.

It sounds really stupid admitting it out loud. Though honestly, it's really kind of an exercise in noticing detail. It's actually what I use to help me to do my real reviews now.

What do you mean, no electronics? I have a smartphone with mobile internet. There's no such thing as an empty moment when you own a smartphone with mobile internet. It's the best.

Well, there is the first way, which is basic daydreaming.
But that only happens when I'm relaxed, and in an environment where I feel somewhat safe to do such a thing.
It can kill time, but if there are people there, well, I'll look a little weird/out of place.

For my second option, I go back to my former University classes.
I look over the environment and examine the people, and start to make up stories surrounding them.
If they're talking to someone or in a group, I usually involve them. It can take up a lot of time, so recently I've been trying to do that, especially since my Creative Writing will (hopefully) come to close this year.

Luckily enough, no one will read these stories, unless I want them to. :p
