Terminator Salvation, Avatar, Wanted, SAW. They aren't the best games ever made, but they are some of the best film based games made. You agree they're getting better, or film based games never going to be on the same level as original games?

I've got to disagree. I haven't played SAW, Wanted or Avatar, but Terminator Salvation was horrible. It was just as bad- if not worse- than any other movie game I've ever played. In fact, the only good movie games I've ever played are the James Bond games. Actually, do Ghostbusters and AvP count? Because they were both good, but I've never seen any of the AvP movies so I don't know if it's its own story or if its a direct movie tie-in. ghosterbusters is, of course based of a movie franchis. I guess they count. Other than that though, I've yet to play even a decent movie based game. To answer your question, no, movie tie-ins will never be as good as other games because, chances are, the developers are just looking to put out a game with a title that will sell so they can make money without having to do any work.

Maybe, but because it tends to cost more to make games now-a-days companies can't just turn out some shit game that's really nothing more than additional publicity. This also means that fewer movies will be getting games, however.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: No, but Spiderman 2 was alright. Maybe there's hope for the future.

No. The 1980's saw a batman game that was kickass. Some movies to games are good, some are bad, all are below par compared to the best normal games.

The industry has yet to make a movie license game better than Goldeneye, and that was 13 years ago.

I haven't really come across any movie games past the fourth console generation that were real enjoyable.
