This game deserves a novelization of some sort in my opinion. The story is well above any of the modern FF's and can easily compete with the accepted classics back in the older days when the series was still young. The amount of betrayals one faces, shocking moments of reality, and other heightened aspects of the story make it an unbelievable classic.

A hefty amount of the characters have such depth and personality that I dare say it transcends that of any other FF Game.

Ramza is the rebellious hero of course, with Delita being the classic anti-hero in a sense due to his tragic past. Warring factions between two Kingdoms, a secret sect of ancient devil worshipers, many separate Hellish entities wanting control over the world through the hands of selfish and power hungry men, a church who hides their own history, disposed knights who served in long ago wars...the list is endless in reason for why I love this game.

As a side question, would those of you who played the game consider Delita to have become the very villain he percieved Algus and the others as in the very beginning? Or do you view him as a man who overcame yet despite it all simply became a different person considering his will to overcome his past?

I personally have no fault with him, despite the games ending. He is the very meaning of a tragic character in a sense, burdened and overcome by reality.

Amen. Virtually everyone in my family below age 30 has wanted to see a sequel or novelization to FFT since its inception. While several fanfic authors have attempted exactly that, naturally they can't compare to a real professional novelization, if only to help smooth over some of the translation errors. A shame Square-Enix has ignored this original concept of Ivalice in favor of a more cartoonish approach (not that I didn't enjoy FFTA but it was nothing compared to its predecessor).

And yes, I would say Delita has come full circle by the end of it, become like Dycendarg or Funeral; a concienseless manipulator of others, who kills to hide his secrets. And he knows it.

I never saw the game past the fight with Belias, but frankly I don't like the idea of books based on games.

I'm not paying for published fanfiction.
