Square Enix have revealed another FFVII Remake trailer since their State of Play event, with a few new scenes and most notably a release date of March 3rd, 2020. The trailer only mentions PS4 at the end, though the original 2015 trailer said "Play it first on PS4" so it'll probably be a timed exclusive.

I only want to know if there's really going to be a demo on the PS Store as per rumor. I guess we'll be stuck waiting for Square Enix's conference or whatever it's called.

If the combat is better than XV, then I might get it. Thats all I really want, my friend explained the plot to me and it sounds ridiculous so I'm only here for the satisfying slashy slashy

It's finally happening, I can't believe it. All I wanted out of E3 was this, and it happened. So I am happy. I hope everyone else gets to see something they really like this year.

Was there any new footage that wasn?t in the last one? The talk with President Shinra was all I could spot.

I am wondering if this Episode 1 of Final Fantasy 7 Remake has more then just the ShinRA factory level.
I?m starting to feel it?ll end with leaving Midgar. Not sure I like that.

State of Play is actually a Sony thing, and it sounds like it?s a PS exclusive [https://m.ign.com/articles/2019/06/10/final-fantasy-vii-remake-release-date-announced-e3-2019] like the original.

So its gonna be bad?
'Fraid so. Square can't not overproduce their games anymore, and that's where the problem lies. Their games are just big, incomprehensible piles of spaghetti now, consisting of overly flashly visual nonsense, corny anime archetypes, and bad attempts at redefining JRPG combat.

That image is dated as my long hair.

But for goodness sake I miss Mass Effect.

And I think as of now Fallout 3 is a way better game then Fallout 4 and 76.

Not as far as Valve and Squeenix are concerned.
I also like that Bioware is both a an example of good dialogue and bad dialogue.
I think it still illustrates the same point just as well: companies have their strengths and weaknesses, even if those vary overtime.

Uh, Nomura, Sephiroth's chilling presence was built up by not showing him in Midgar, saving the reveal for the Nibelheim flashback where you realize that he is far more terrifying than the entirety of Shinra. Also, what the FUCK are the clones doing there? They were freaking background NPCs, not Death Eaters. It's funny that despite working on FFVII Nomura doesn't actually GET it

Isn't that a pretty common opinion?

I just watched the E3 sjowcase where they show off the gameplay and it looks absolutely amazing. It plays like a more modern version of Crisis Core, while keeping the flavor and spirit of the Original game. I really like the changes to the core gameplay so I think this will be a fantastic Remake. If I had any concern it's how long we'd have to wait between part releases as well as the content within each part. They said just this part 1 will be on 2 blu ray discs and will be as big as a full game itself. But we'll see about that.

And here's another trailer which showcases Tifa for the first time, as well as the game's special editions.

From seeing the recent footage I will say the characters atleast look subdued -- They're not covered in belts or other Nomura shit, so that's something. And thankfully they didn't change Aerith's face, which apparently Japanese fans were having a fit about for not looking cutesy-poo enough.

Congratulations, you nailed it. I'm impressed by the audacity/failure because I expected them to at least make an episode out of the first disc of the game. Just Midgar, really? And it's taken them 4 years? We can expect the full game to be 8 episodes long, cost hundreds of dollars, and be finished by 2060 at this rate. Then again there's apparently hints implying it's only going to be 2 episodes, so maybe they'll just cut 80% of the game out entirely instead. If you want the complete experience and want to know wtf is going on, make sure you play all the tie-in games and watch all the tie-in movies.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this opinion either. Tying into what I just said above about cutting out chunks of the game... expect any scenario in the game that didn't have an appearance by Sephiroth or some other direct connection to him to either be changed to fix that or cut from the game entirely. Square knows who the game's breakout star was, this is his show/game now, and any part of the game not directly touched by him is gonna have to go.

Honestly, not only am I super down on this game, I really don't get the excitement for it. Everyone is blowing their loads over it and has been ever since the initial reveal nearly half a decade ago, despite literally everything they've ever said about it or shown for it being cause for great concern. It's like so long as everyone sees a recognizable character show up in gorgeous CGI then nothing else matters I guess?

apparently, they're upset because her face is too narrow and not round enough. I know that Japanese have a different standards of beauty compared to everybody else in the States, this is fucking ridiculous. She is cute enough already. What more can you add?

I'm in the same boat you are. Maximilian dood and his friends were nutting all over this. though even Simmons admitted that he doesn't like the format of how they're doing the game, but he's giving it a shot anyway. Me personally, I might pick it up but there's no 100% guarantee. just give me a complete game. Don't split it into two parts like the all of the movies were doing. We do not need another bad practice forming right now.
