Final Fantasy XIII - Teams

Yeah, so I'm playing through Final Fantasy XIII, and my team has split up completely. I'm on chapter 5, beginning of disc 2, playing as Lightning and Hope. Just wanted to ask 3 questions.

1) Does my entire team come back together any time soon?
2) At what point do I get to explore the lowerworld place?
3) What is the best battle team? I was thinking of using Lightning, Snow and Vanille.

1) Yes.
2) Chapter 10/11.
3) I rock a Lightning/Vanille/Fang team and it's worked perfectly for me so far.

I think you explore the lowerworld in ch.11. As for teams I like my general all-rounder team to be 2 ravagers and 1 commando to quickly build a chain and finish them off.

After I maxed out the crystals I had 3 commandos when facing any non-boss type enemy as you get so powerful it's pointless to have anything else.

My current team is Lightning/Fang/Hope, which is actually better than it sounds.
I'm on Gran Pulse right now, and I'm actually doing quite well. Of course, when I had to fight Barthandelus the first time, I switched Fang for Vanille, as I needed Imperil.

Fang and Vanille are both great Sabotuers, they're just useful for different things. Vanille is better for debuffing your enemies, while Fang is better for causing status problems.

Well I'm definitely keeping Lightning and Vanille on my team, because I've upgraded both their weapons and accessories quite a bit.

At what point do you get Fang on your team? I'm at the start of Chapter 6, in a forest with Vanille and Sazh.
