This doesn't accurately measure how much money you've spent on steam since it doesn't take sales into account. I know that at most I've spent half of what this thing is telling me I have.

It doesn't measure playing time accurately either. A lot of my games show a lot less playtime than I know I put in. I admit I've played a lot of my games for about five minutes if at all. But with the expenditure overestimated and the playing time underestimated, it does look a lot more depressing than it really is.

Does it measure them by their current price, or the normal price at time of purchase, because then some of our totals could possibly be lower than they should be. And for some reason mine calculator isn't working... probably some privacy setting.

Given that I never buy games that aren't 75% off or more and the rest are "Humble" Bundles that I payed one cent each for, I'd say my total comes closer to about $120 give or take a few cents.

Honestly, I would have expected more hours. My account is 9 years old and was created back when Steam was just online DRM for Half Life 2. Possibly because I spent a lot of my gaming time back then in UT2004, I guess.

To be honest, Steam doesn't track hours played very well. It says I've only played two hours in Mass Effect 1. I've played the entire series through more than once and played the first repeatedly. I've got other games that are reported inaccurately as well.

After a personal Calc, my payments are closer to 400 USD
Also apparently HL2 Lost Coast costs 40 bucks, and it's not considering the time at which I bought the games I have.
For example, Portal 2 was 60 bucks when I got it, I pre-ordered Hitman Absolution, and bought half of my games during the Christmas sale 2012 for a total of ~100 bucks.

Maybe 10000 of those hours are in games that total up to $50 bucks anyhow (I got Orange Box and Garry's Mod, which I believe was ~$25 plus $20 at the time)
Not considering non-steam games that I mounted to my library and clocked almost 100 hours in each naturally (such as Battlezone, Might & Magic 6, HL2 mods, and some other games.)
