Ok, so I need a bit of assistance here. I have a good deal of extra cash thanks to my job, and I've been looking to get a new game or two. The problem is, I can't seem to find anything that really interests me.

So, I'm asking you, the Escapees, for some game recommendations.

Heres a bit of info.

I have a 360 n a PC. I've played WoW for a couple of years, so not that big on finding a new MMO, and I'm really tired of playing LOTR 2: Electric Boogaloo for the 80000th time. I have games like the Orange Box, L4D/L4D2, ME2, Borderlands, ect.

What I'd really like to find is a good Fantasy Shooter or a Futuristic/Present Day RPG (ie Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2). I'd like a game that'll take a while for me to beat, which is one of the reasons I loved ME/ME2. Or, if you know a game from another Genre that you love, reccomend it.

I heard STALKER is good.

Ask PayJ(some numbers go here, not sure what they are). He seems to be a big fan of that game.

BioShock 1 and 2 are both excellent Science Fiction/Fantasy Shooters.

2's Gameplay is vastly improved from 1 but 1 has a better atmosphere.

So i would get both and play them in order.

@The_Title: No! Find your own you lazy bugger!

I agree with The Pope, Fallout 3 sounds good for you.

I enjoyed Oblivion a bit, but I can't stand to Fallout for no reason at all. I just can't.

As for BioShock, Loved the first one, couldn't get into the second one.

As for STALKER, haven't heard much about it, what's it about?

You will return to WoW. Just wait till someone at blizzard headquarters find the code for the chip they implanted in your brain :p

Sort of depends which one you get, but it's generally based around Chenobyl after the nuclear accident.

Morrowind + expansions? Kind of dated now but apparently theres mods coming out of it's ears and the game is huge just in it's vanilla version.

I suggest Red Dead Redemption if you want a mass effect freedom style game

I suggest Army of 2 2, ignore the characters and plot and the gameplay and shooting mechanics are ace

If you like mass effect you will hate morrowind/fallout 3. Red dead redemption isn't like mass effect, it's like GTA with a horse (not taken from ZP, I played it before his review and thought the same thing and I havent been a fan of the GTA series since Vice City) Bioshock is more FPS then Mass effect is but it has a really good story and RPG elements. I'd have to say Dues ex/system shock as well. KOTR isn't as bad as oblivion/morrowind. I too am currently looking for a new game to play until cataclysm comes out. If you like FPS, F.E.A.R. 1 and 2 are good. Great story and good game play. It's less RPG and more FPS, but has a good story. Any of the Half-life games are already great. I'd like to recommend Alpha Protocol cause it's kinda like Mass Effect in the RPG side but it's not that great. Dragon Age: Origins was kinda boring to me.

Older games Include Condemned:Criminal Origins (first one, not second one) Advent Rising, Blue Dragon (mid level id say 2.5 out or 5 stars), more mid level ones are the rainbow 6 vegas games, dead space.

For PC i'd also recommend steam. You can get packs of like 20+ games old and new for lower prices then you would be able to buy them separately.
