After having a mouse and keyboard finally fail on me, I'm looking for some new gaming gear. Normally, people would opt for the cheap office cubicle keyboard, but I would like something with a little more kick. After reading through review after review, I've finally decided on the Mouse/Keyboard/Mousepad set I am planning to buy.

It is as follows(Prices are from Amazon's current price as of time on post):

Keyboard: Razer Arctosa (Already bought it, waiting arrival from Amazon's Subspace delivery girl)
Price: $39.84

Mouse: Razer Death Adder
Price: $45.17

Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Omega Fragged Edition (Small size)
Price: $14.99

Total Price: Exactly $100.00 U.S. Dollars. (Didn't think it would sum up to that. Super-Saver Free Shipping, so no S&H)

Obviously, all the items I'm buying are all from Razer. That is not set in stone. I'm here looking for suggestions on what to buy or whether my choice was solid or a complete mistake.

P.S. I normally play First-Person-Shooters and use the palm grip. I know what mechanical keyboards are, but the BlackWidow is out of my budget(In relation to the rest of my purchases).

I'm not willing to pay anything over $120, and I've already purchased the Arctosa.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Well, you've just wasted your money on the keyboard. Because of the membrane keyswitches used in all mass-market gaming keyboards, gaming keyboards are little better than the keyboards you can get for $10 at your local computer store.
How about the Mouse and Mousepad? I don't mind the price, and I'm up for suggestions if there are any cheap mice that you know will work well and last long.

Your stuff all sounds great dont listen to Rak.

Lol i got a Lycossa Mirrior, with a Spectre and a steal series SC2 mouse pad (you can tell i love SC2)

Your stuff sounds great man i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoy my stuff. Just keep loyal to razer i've been part of this "Razer Community" For years, they never let you down in there top quality products and there tech support is amazing.

Thanks! Also, they say that the DeathAdder fails on you if you install the drivers for Windows Vista. Seeing as I have Windows Vista 32-bit, I was wondering if I would have a problem.

The mouse is fine. Gaming mice from Razer are high-quality and they're worth the price. You should be happy with the Death Adder, and I wouldn't say no to the mouse pad.

I've got a thing about keyboards, though - I won't buy any more which aren't mechanical. Actually, having a mechanical keyboard, I probably won't need to buy another one for another ten years.
Thanks. Every review for the Death Adder is pretty much a 5/5 or a 10/10. For those uneducated about gaming peripherals(i.e.my parents), what makes a mousepad worth $15 over a regular one? I know what you mean about the keyboard. My friend told me that a Black Widow was the way to go. Who knows, maybe the Arctosa won't be so bad.

Might I suggest the Logitech G9 laser mouse, however it's choice over Razer's ware is dependent on what kind of gaming you want to do, the G9 feels nice, is entirely programmable with obvious exceptions to right-click and left-click, custom lights, microweights, 5700 dpi that can be adjusted on the fly, a scroll gear and release...

IMO It's the perfect hybrid mouse, as accurate on the battlefield as it is resourceful on the plains of your favourite MMO. I've used one for over 2 years now and it has never, not once, let me down.

Yeah, my friend has one of those. It felt great when I was playing BF:BC2 on his PC.
