Finding my keys

As of yesterday I am trapped in my home with no way to go out and do stuff until I can find my keys.

They are somewhere in the house as I needed them to get in.

I have a cat so they may have moved significantly since being lost.

Any tips for finding them?

Magnet on a stick. It's awesome for reaching into tight spots to pick up small metal objects. If you can find one, scan under, beside, and behind everything you can think of. If you're lucky, you'll get a hit. Might find some other stuff, too, I always do.

My door. The problem is I live in New York, attempting to escape from the window will let in a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I don't have any alcahol in the house. My friends and I operate on the pop in system, can't invite em' without leaving the house.

I hate to say this but have you tried in and under some of the sand crap in the litter box?
Otherwise else like everyone else says try using a big magnet.

1. My cat only uses the litterbox when there is snow outside.

2. I don't have a magnet in my house, going out to get one would screw me.
