It's funny because you can probably put the MP weapons into the SP game by doing nothing more than changing a few values.

And so the first paid DLC arrives. (Excluding Javik)
Wonder how much rage there will be?
I'm more expecting a resounding collective "Ehh".

People's beef were with the super shitty ending, with a side of day 1 DLC. Ultimate cause of rage were emotionally invested people, feeling betrayed by broken promises.

Expectations were ruined. Those who were invested in the game have abandoned it. No one cares about Mass Effect anymore.
Actually, I do still care about Mass Effect, and never stopped. Maybe you should stop taking your own beliefs and applying it to gamers as a whole. Are quite a few of them pissed about the ending? Yes. Has everyone abandoned the game and stopped caring about it? No, as one quick trip to playing online will show you.

Urgh, I'll pass. I'd rather put the money back for the proper DLC coming out soon plus I'm really picky when it comes to guns and how they effect my abilities.

Basically unless my engineer can have one of these and not have his ability recharge time effected I'll get it. If it does effect it then I'll just be wasting my money.

I beat the game on "Impossible" difficulty with ease without needing these guns.

... So, what's the point of offering them?

"Hey, need any help?" "No. This game is actually easier than ME2." "We got new guns!" "I'm mainly a biotic." "This one shoots LIGHTNING!" "Can it kill the Starchild?" "Well, no, but..." "NO DEAL."

Weapon packs?

Can I have the bloody N7 classes instead please?

The weird thing with the multiplayer weapons is that they're either great, or terrible.

It's not very often you come across an 'average' weapon :D
Do you mean the ability to have your Shepard play as one of the new N7 Classes? If so, I would be all for making my ManShep a Destroyer or Demolisher, while my FemShep is definitely going to be a Shadow.

However, to be more on topic, let me know when they release a pack with the N7 Typhoon. I have literally fallen head-over-heels for that gun, and I know my ManShep would love to get his hands on that baby and make it sing sweet, sweet death music.

The Valkyrie would be nice too, since they seem to be giving out the promotional stuff to everyone who couldn't get it as a pre-order.

It looks like all that free multiplayer DLC has turned it's fanbase into a bunch of entitled brats. Who could have seen that coming? (!)

Seriously, it's $2. The only reason they released it on multiplayer for free is because no one would pay for gear they'd have to win with an in-game lottery system. Deal with it.

I told them, get mass effect three, it'll have dlc support through out the year.
Instead some went and got deus ex HR. HR is a fine game as well, but its currently dead in the water with no dlc or support on the way.

Looking forwards to plethora of dlc on the way for ME3

This if funny. I'm addressing a comment, made by someone who likes to generalize all Mass Effect players as whiny, self entitled brats and you prefer to nit pick my statement?

They are making weapon packs for SP and MP separately? Does their greed know no bounds?
I suspect that would be a fair point if the MP weapons didn't come as part of free multiplayer DLC bundles.

The monetarization in multiplayer comes from selling random item packs, which can be bought with in-game credits anyway. I fail to see the greed.

It shoots lightning (shotgun, so [very] short ranged) it looks cool, but DPS is crap and it chews ammo too fast.
Crap DPS compared to what? It's a beast against anything without armor, and a high-level shredder mod can even compensate for that. From what I can see it's by far the most popular shotgun on gold difficulty and above.

Speak for yourself.

When someone releases a game which sets out to accomplish the same objectives and does so better, I'll stop caring. Until then, the series remains (in my opinion) the high point of contemporary narrative RPGs and is well worth celebrating.
