Firefox too quiet

I have recently bought some 5.1 speakers 4 my comp. When I try 2 play videos (youtube or iPlayer) through firefox or safari they are extremely quiet and I can only just hear them with the speakers on full volume. The problem isn't with the speakers because iTunes works fine. thnx 4 help

Hmm odd. When the page is on youtube/firefox etc have you tried going to the speaker icon on the bottom toolbar and clicking mixer? Sometimes even though the sound claims to be up to max the individual bars aren't.

Only say because its happened to me a few times. Though I am sure you would have checked that.

problem solved i pressed the bypass button on the remote and it changes the output to 2.1
