In my experience, I've found not one RTS game with a friendly user base. Most of them are arrogant retards with no social life, and the others don't say a thing.Sapient Pearwood said:

World of warcraft, ive met soo many new friends that i still know from years ago its got a great community apart from the random dungeon finder.

I specified the Project Reality community for a reason. I've never seen anyone give someone inexperienced a hard time, even if they were a detriment to the squad. And people in that game REALLY stick with their squad to accomplish objectives.PlasmaFrog said:CptCamoPants said:

If you actually manage to find a half-decent server where a team might work together now days, then I'm proud of you. Other than that, expect the same scenario over and over again.
Oh yes, the server rules are my favorite part.
- No camping or BAN
- No vehicle rushing
- No capping enemy points beyond another certain point
- No vehicle whoring
- No unlocks
- Recon only or BAN
- No kicking/killing commander or BAN
- No C4 or BAN
Other than that, the game is still reasonably fun, just not the community part.
Your title is stupid. Asking which multi player community is the friendliest is like saying "Which cat is the most like a dog" or "which banana taste most like lamb roast"?

I'm definitely going to agree with those saying LotRO. At the beginning, it catered mostly to the mature folks who had actually read the books, so the community was quite nice.
Even when they moved to free to play, many of the elder players were planning on camping out in the beginner zones, just to say "hi" to all the new free-to-players.
It kind of also helped that PvP was limited to one zone, so less chance of griefers.

This was a long time ago, but I remember the community for Final Fantasy XI being quite helpful. It could be because, in that game, it is nearly impossible to progress without a massive party. I think that designing mmos with a heavy emphasis on group play might actually be a good thing, as convenient as soloing is.
