Just noticed my copy of Great Expectations doesn't have the usual list of numbers on the copyright details page. I don't know how those work, they're not usually in any order I can discern, but this book only has a "1".

It's obviously not an original, it's a Puffin version, so I'm guessing not worth anything. Am I right/wrong?

Also, can anyone explain how to tell what edition of a book you have?

If its a second on greater edition it will say in the front pages when it was "Originally published"

Example: Pratchett novel published 3 years ago will say "Originally published in 2005 by blah blah blah, etc etc."

"First published 1860-61
This edition published in Penguin Classics 1996
Published a Penguin Red Classic 2006

1"

That's the part I noticed and was confused about.
