Just today I started trying my hand at modding Skyrim. Nothing too intense, I just wanted to make followers out of a couple of my player characters, which turned out to be a surprisingly easy process (if a little long and bothersome). However, fairly quickly I ran into a problem for which I have yet to find a working solution.
One of the characters I made into an NPC is a female Khajiit. There are zero female Khajiit followers, so in order for her to be voiced I'd have to pick a follower-compatible voice. Problem is, no matter which voice I choose, and no matter what I do, I can't get her to initiate conversation. When I go up to her and press 'E' to talk, she just spouts some generic line, but no conversation comes up at all. Hell, I even tried giving her Serana's voice, and she became completely mute.
I'm out of options at this point. Google got me nowhere, and even one of the more in-depth tutorials I watched didn't help (the person talked too fast, didn't really explain what he was doing, and didn't address my problem). I'm desperate here, guys. I really want her to be part of my party. I don't know how many modders are around here, but isn't there anyone that can help?
