Metroid Prime for the Gamecube, it was the first FPS my parents ever let me play. I was so proud :).

First was Duke Nukem 3d, I was in 7th grade and my science teacher (Mr. Ferguson) brought it in on a day we had nothing else to do. He might've been the best teacher ever.

I remember playing a few demos of FPS games i clearly remember serious sam (don't know which one) and Quake (again, no idea which one).

But I know that the first full FPS I got was medal of honor: rising sun. I loved that game at the time.

As far as goldeneye goes, I could never get past bunker on 00 agent mode. I wasn't actually very good at it myself, I could only finish the game on agent mode, and get most of the way through on secret agent. Perfect Dark was way better, in my opinion.
Funnily enough that was the same level I finally gave up on the game on, and decided to hell with the bonus levels. Then someone whispered in my ear about a certain safe in the level that contained dual silenced pp7s... well that got my curiosity up and not only spurred me on to finish it, but now I regularly play bunker on 00 Agent just because it's the most challenging and unpredictable level of the lot!

Personally I think Perfect Dark's multiplayer wins hands down, but Goldeneye trumps it for single player.

Damn this thread got big.

OP: I can't remember exactly, 2 games come to mind when I was between 6 and 8 years old. They were 007 Goldeneye and I think Duke Nukem. Not sure if it was the first Duke Nukem or Duke Nukem: Time to Kill. It's the one where you start off on a roof of a building I believe.

The original Quake way back when I was about 7 years old. Had my first couple deathmatches back then too, after my Dad hooked up a couple of the computers at his work so my younger brother and I could play against each other. Fun times.

I had a history teacher that played GTA 2 with us in class, he enjoyed creating mass choas...
