The first game I ever played was Spiderman on the PS1.

That was when I was 3 and I thought spiderman was "cool"

Space invaders at a bowling alley. It was a coin op game and gaming arcades weren't even heard of where I was living. For bonus points: what year was this?

Coin-op Pac Man.

My first console game, though, was of course Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt.

First PC game might have been King's Quest 3.

There were probably others before this but the first game I can remember playing was the original Unreal Tournament on the pc. But as I said there were probably others before it I just cant remember any.

Lil. I hear ya...

OT: I THINK it would be Combat for Atari 2600.

OR it's an old, ooooooooooold PC game called Aztec (I think that's wot it was called). It was an old-ass Indiana Jones-ish game. Around that time, I also played an old text-based RPG that was Dungeons and Dragons-ish, but I don't recall the name. =/ We're talking 1982-1983, that era.

So one of those games would have been the first, but I THINK it was Combat.

World Cup 98 for the PS1.

I was one when I started playing games, I'm so proud.

And no football game is better than 98 in my opinion.

1987, Bubble Bobble.
It ran on an old Tandy 8086 with a CGA graphics adapter. It had maybe four or five colors total.
AND IT WAS AWESOME.

Red Version, even though it wasn't mine. I borrowed it from someone for a week or two. Not too soon after I gave it back I bought (read: my mom got me) Gold Version and a GBA at a Target.

Pong on the Atari.

However when I got back into gaming in 1996 or 1997 when I bought a PS1 the game I bought with the console was Doom. 13 years later it's still probably my favourite game of all time (on the pc now though.)

It was either Tetris or Super Mario Land (both on GameBoy) or V Rally on the Playstation

Starcraft 1, got it when I was 6. I completely and totally failed at it, so I would just turtle as terran, build about 180 marines, and then one click attack move at the enemies base. If that didnt work, I then built a ton of Goliath's, then Battlecruisers.

Even though I suck at it, I still love that game. If I had a decent comp I would have bought Starcraft 2 the moment it came out.

I honestly wish I could give a straight answer to this question, but the truth is, I really don't remember at all. I want to remember but can't. It might of been a Mario or Zelda game though.
