"First! Second!" Banned!

I've been posting videos on Youtube for nearly a year and I've been getting these "First!" comments. At first, I thought it was an internet joke. So I left some on and ignored them. Then I go back to my video to see -6 on the guy who posted the "First" comment. So each time I see them, I just remove them. I'd thought The Escapist wouldn't have these trolls on this site. Each time I finished watching Zero Punctuation, I go to the comments. Most of the time, I don't post a comment. But, I always see about 7 people banned or suspended for comments like; "First", "First! EDITING-Beat me to it ", "Second". And some others like; "LOL Good one. Now do (Enter game here) next." At first, I was like; "he/she requested a game. Why'd he/she get banned?" Then I realized that their post was one of the first ones to be posted the video was just uploaded. What is the point to these "First!" comments? Is it a contest to see who gets banned? Or it is a way to tell us that you're a retard who has nothing better to do than to show off your idiocy by posting these comments? At least there is a report button on this site and the moderators care. A certain site I checked out had moderators that didn't care if you made fun of them. I used to be a member but after they charge for their "DLC", I left.

After pondering for the last few mintutes i would say that some people don't seem to understand rightaway that the Escapist doesn't accept this sort of bahaviour, for which i am glad for otherwise i would'nt log in as frequently, their too used to all the public website where anything seesm to go, whether it be racist, sexist or just plain stupidity.

This website is so great because it contains many intelligent members willing to share opinions on all topics at a civiulised manner (excuse my spelling)

I think the reason for that is they make a new account anyway. So suspending them works. Even though they can still make a new account.

The reason so many people get banned on the ZP threads is cause if you look at the time stamps then you'll notice people have been talking about the video only 1 minute after its been posted. ZP vids take almost 5mins to watch, that's why people that comment 5mins later aren't banned.

It doesn't have any use other than some people preferring to be the first poster rather than having something intelligent to say. One of the reasons why I only frequent the forums of the Escapist is because the moderators here do care. Everyone who's familiar with the forums here knows the regulars like to keep a clean shop.
