1. Religious extremists. I'm a Christian, but I hate it when people go to the extreme and give us a really annoying and false stereotype that I can't stand.
2. Daikatana.
3.Twilight. I no longer think vampires are "kinda cool"
4.Jersey Shore.
5. Politics. Giving a single person a lot of power over a country can lead to bad things.

1. Guns. Fair enough snipers are sweet and efficient but a real man runs right over there and hits him with a claymore until he's paste.

2. The Wii. Its a Gamecube with motion controls. I don't get it. (Oh yeah. Money.)

3. Oil companies. (Or at least their business ethics). They are so fixated on money, an imagined value system of trade, that we won't be living off renewable energy until there isn't a single drop of oil left in the ground. Even then I expect they'll try getting it out of the sea or something before they start building solar power stations for the cold electricity-less populace.

4. Technical bands. Yes your solo was impressive, I appreciate that, but wheres the emotion? All I see is a bunch of dudes standing there fixated on their instruments, twiddling away. You're supposed to enjoy being on stage, rock out a litte, we're bored!

5. Moths. Seriously. Why are you here? You aren't going to gain any life experience from bumping into my lightbulb. Only burnt wings. And a good fucking squishing if you come anywhere near me.

1 This Thread, seems to just be a platform for some serious hating (religious, political, artistical, etc)

Not Religion as a whole, but Religion as a Device.
Gay - Straight Camps *Whatever you want to call it*
Arguments that use emotions rather then fact.
Music as a media and not as an Art *And by that I mean No I am not a Dadrock fag, this division happened long before my time*.
Yeah I say Religion as a Device as well. Mainly because even in Christianity GOD never intended for that....
If anything Religion is a man made institute filled with good intention, but turns the worship of God into a competition and at times a mundane and drab ritual that eventually drives a number of people away from God rather than draw them to him.

God: So you shall spread my word and help thy fellow man on the path to righteousness.

Man 1: Ok sweet....Hey what if we make an exclusive sect devoted to prosecuting and recruiting those who don't believe our every exact interpretation of the Bible?

Man 2: Hey that's sounds like a great Idea...Only Mine is Better!!!

Man 1: NU UH!! Mine is!!!

God:.....*Sigh*....I give up...Seeya in a few millenium when you kill my son....Ungrateful pricks.

Its good to see someone here who doesnt think there cool and edgy by hating religion as a whole.

I mean is it so hard of a concept to think that we are all praying to the same god? and If god was a loving god would he really condemn his children to hell for victimless sins such as homosexuality.

The bible has been interpreted, translated and edited for a little under 2000 years, should we really just accept everything it says as law and not subjecting it to logic.

I don't mean to be exclusionary to other religions, I've just had to argue this to Christians for the most part.

is it so hard to believe that we jews are right and that god is just a dick? it more or less explains everything in history... the old testament just got too depressing for them christians, had to make daddy look nice

sorry i have no problem with other religions it's all the same god like ur saying

Indeed, asking people what they like/don't like in a broad sense on a forum = bad mojo....

As for me, Reese's Peanut-butter cups. They are so god damn good, but man, they are soooo bad for you to. It's like crack you can buy at Walmart....

Nope, I haven't been a Republican since I saw the light and found out that the majority of them are just progressives/socialists in disguise.

I am an Independent Conservative, at the moment a Tea Party supporter.

I also want to go on a slight rant about the people who say Rap.
Rap is a far more expansive genre then you guys probably know, Rap as a vocal styling has a technique, it may not be traditional singing but nether is metal or screamo, and im sure some of you guys are gonna bawl about how I compared Metal to Rap and Screamo, if you describe Screamo as people who scream with the music then screamo is a far more expansive genre as well.
Though Screamo is actually a sub-genre of a variety of genres that use screaming.

/Rant
I'm sorry, but I can't just accept that elementary school poetry laced with constant cussing can be considered "music".

With the lone exception of rhythm, rap doesn't meet any "standards" of music.

I'm open to the possibilities of rap involving ACTUAL musical talent such as the Beastie Boys, but as of now, rap isn't considered a style of music to me.

1 - Use of stupid acronyms in regular speech, 'lol' of course, most of all.
2 - Stupid acronyms in the first place
3 - Use of file extensions in regular speech, overdone, stupid, boring, discouraging creativity and causing everyone to sound like cliched parrots, not to mention, they are also annoying.
4 - Children. Godamn things make so much mess.
5 - Myself. Life would be alot less stressful without the bastard.

Grrrr pethates and various other things.

Like I said its a far more expansive genre then you think.

and Actual musical talent is something I keep on hearing, many hip-hop acts go to music schools and get degrees in music, and you stated "Elementary lyrics" as a bases for your argument which makes you lose ground automatically, strip the musical aspect of any song with vocals and its just a crappy poem.

Though i'm guessing your basing all this "Raps just a bad poem with cursing" from mainstream acts, a curse word used in poetry doesn't lesson the impact if used correctly, the addition of a curse word doesn't make a work of art crude, the same reason why nude statues aren't pornography.

Acts Like Illogic, Nujabes, The Roots, Sage Francis, Shing02, Saul Williams, Paper Planes Project and Many Others incorporate well thought out lyrics and/or this musical talent you seem to think you have an understanding for.

3. Nascar - There is something oh-so-unexciting about watching a bunch of cars (I DON'T GIVE A FUCK HOW FAST THEY'RE GOING) take repeated left turns. Make a random one spontaneously explode every lap, and maybe then I'll watch.

i completely agree. oh another way to make nascar interesting would be to have half the cars goin clockwise the other half counterclockwise. Now that would be fun to watch.

OT: I'm gonna have to go with silly bands on this one, I mean come on ther just retardedly misshaped rubber bands. hell it takes most people I know at least 2 minutes to figure out wat the hell they just bought. for instance, and i quote, ".................... ohhhhhh it's a lizard."

Zombies: A generic enemy that is simply there for devs and movie creators to fall back on when they're out of ideas.

War: How much more do I have to say.

Religion: Yeah.

Can't think of anymore, but spray tans is good.
Ok well I can see your problems with War and religion. I mean sometimes War cannot be avoided, and sometimes religion can really help certain people (not me though).

But seriously, Zombies? Yes they are a lazy cop-out, but a lazy cop-out that is fun to kill with shotguns.

OT:

1. Post-grundge music
2. Auto-tune
3. Jeff Dunham's characters
4. Eldrazi
5. Regenerating health in video games

Religion did not create morals, the basic necessity for the the continuation of the species created morals, religion just came along a few thousand years later and claimed credit.
