I have sadly never played a Monster Hunter game before, having never owned a console they are made for. Would anyone recommend this 3DS instalment for a first time player?
Star Fox 64 3D is a game for the 3DS, it has 3D functionality, as you would expect. It also makes use of gyroscopic controls when flying. Considering the 3DS has a "sweet spot" when your holding it for the 3D effect to actually work, moving the console around to fly is next to impossible if you want to maintain a visible screen. I know it's not an argument for turning the 3D off in every game, but it's still mighty annoying!
I very rarely use the 3D on my 3DS; it's permanently off by default. I don't find that the 3D enhances the games for me, plus I suffer with eye strain quite easily and the 3D is a notorious killer for that!Jumwa said:Most people don't like/use the 3D effect? Was there some kind of study done on this? Seems a rather definitive, objective statement to make.
Personally, despite being a 3D naysayer, once given a 3DS for a present I came to love the thing. I keep 3D on almost always, unless it's a 2D game I'm playing with tacked on 3D. (Usually meaning DS-to-3DS ports.)
