The only things I've noticed are that my vertical sensitivity has gone from brisk but manageable, to something around the land speed record and I my performance tanks on Ultra and High, which isn't due to my PC as I was able to play at a reasonable FPS on Ultra in 1.1.

Sentence of wise advice: Don't ever, EVER download Bethesda mods until you are 150% sure that it won't cock up your game. Just sayin.

I've made a thread earlier warning people not to download the patch. I haven't downloaded it yet myself, but I'm going to avoid it until Bethesda deals with the issue.
Mine got downloaded automatically. Is there any way I can stop it?

OT: I don't have those problems OP, however there whas one Michael Jackson moonflying Dragons, a lake that was missing part of it's water, and ... actually that's it so far. Nothing that will stop me from enjoying the game thought.

Want a game breaking glich that I got?

Now THAT was just horrible. My only help was the radar and 2 other NPC's firing arrows madly into the air.

xbox 360 here, and the only thing the patch seems to have done for me is make the load times a bit shorter, but that could be my imagination. I don't time them or anything...

/shrugs
Same here. Load times are slightly shorter. Instead of 3 sips of beer it's now 2.5 sips of beer which is a shame because you can't stop midsip so it's still 3 sips of beer.

For the rest, I never had any problems, except some thieves guild 'oddjobs' not registering me planting item C in container B so NPC A get's sued for crime D which PC Y comitted. And that was pre-patch.
I already nearly immediatly died when under attack with frost (the slowing down and frost spike magic is murder. Takes up 50-60% of my hp bar away in 1 hit. I have 330 hp. Le que?) but with fire I seem to not even get my fur scorched =/

Oh Skyrim you so funny..

since the update this morning my skyrim wont even start it just dies[/quote]

KK, i found a solution, check out my original post. Try doing the same for when skyrim wont even start, and if this doesnt wok immediately go into offline mode. Works like a charm.
Of course, now we might face other bugs: not absorbing dragon souls, no elemental weaknesses.... but at least we get to play the game!
Hope this works for all of you.

You can hardly call that FIXED!!!

That's almost an insulting euphemism.

Anyway, any suggestions how to get the previous version back?

I don't mind reinstalling the whole game, I just don't know where to find the good "first day patch" while avoiding the blasphemous 1.2 thing.

Oh Steam, I really hate you for patching against my own will. You soul shall burn in Oblivion for all eternity...

Give me my bookshelf back, and my Thane title in Riften...

so guys, just found this:

http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Skyrim-Patch-1-2-Rollback-Fix.shtml

its the original day one patch files that got replaced.
replacing these in your game directory will successfully roll you back to version 1.1
:)

Last night was the first time I ever willfully avoided downloading a patch. I'm not touching it until I start hearing that it's been fixed.

Didn't really work (for me), couldn't close books afterwards... Although it said it was back to Version 1.1.xxx

I'm on pc and so far it's only fixed a game breaking glitch which crashed my game in a certain cave. I've encountered no glitches.

Not sure if it's a patch 1.2 issue, but I can't find any of the Treasure Chests for the treasure maps in the game. They're just not there. Hope they patch that fix soon.

I had that before the patch as well as not being able to absorb souls. The patch fixed that for me. Only way I killed the invisi dragon was to run head first into the mystical fire from the void coming at my face and hack away. It worked.
My main stats are Archery and sneak. So that really isn't an option for me.

Can someone verify if you can become a Thane of Riften after 1.2? Maybe because I started the quest in 1.1 and then Steam obnoxiously decided to patch against my will and thus the quest broke...

I'm playing the console version, and haven't noticed any problems.
Maybe it's just a PC version thing?
Same here. I've noticed no difference in the game since the patch (playing on 360)

Well except for that fact that now I can get married without random suicides happening and ruining the ceremony!
Does your Dark Elf still have a natural 50% fire resistance? Does your Nord still have 50% frost resistance? What about poison and disease resistances on your Argonian, Redguard, or Wood Elf? Perhaps your Lycanthropic disease resistance? Can you still properly absorb dragon souls after slaying one? Many people, like me, have those problems. :/ That crushing lag that the PS3 users such as myself, never got fixed, either. But in my case, the lag wasn't really that bad. It only ever happened while I was in Solitude or Whtierun, and if it occurred out of towns, it lasted for maybe 20 seconds, tops. If I could uninstall the patch, without removing the patch itself from my PS3 system, that would be swell. Because it's 92MB and to me, on my terrible internet, is a very, VERY big patch, which can take up to ~7 hours to download(which it did, I had it downloading while I was at work, 7 hour shift, still had a half hour to go when I got home). Release version was pretty perfect for me, but if there's another patch coming up, I don't wanna have to download that 92MB again in order to get the next patch. :{

Imperial, don't care about any of that therefore. No idea what "Lycanthropic disease" is so I'm gonna say that that doesn't affect me either.

Can you still properly absorb dragon souls after slaying one?
Yep

Many people, like me, have those problems. :/
I wasn't saying that nobody was having problems, just that in my experiance since the patch I haven't noticed any issues. Except for the bookcase thing which I posted later on in the thread than the post you quoted.

I installed the patch on PC and no problems. Well it did CTD twice but then I removed all my mods, and then installed them again, and then it worked fine for hours on end until I went to bed.

Yep, Fast Travel is completely broken for me on the PC with this patch and who knows what else.

THANKS ALOT BETHESDA AND STEAM.

Steam autoupdated Skyrim even though I told it not too because I KNEW something like this would happen.

Actually, steam started to update it and then I paused the update so it wouldn't finish. But then when I tried to play Skyrim it crashed and said the executable was invalid. I checked tesv.exe and it was 640k >.>

So I had to finish the update to be able to even launch it.

What a bunch of crap. Bethesda sucks majorly.
