With the release of the new Xbox 360, is the option of buying RROD consoles, fixing them and selling them on still a viable business option? It doesn't have to make a massive profit obviously just a few $ here and there.

With the new console i'm a little unsure of how the price and the demand will be affected, do any of you escapists have any history with doing such a thing?

I doubt it cost much to fix the Xbox, i fixed my ps3 and it only cost me 15 pounds. If it dosn't work after a few trys you haven't lost much.

The cost of the repair isn't really an issue for me, I know i can do the repairs cheap. I'm just a little concerned over the demand for an older, repaired console. Especially since the launch on the new console.

I believe it will start to decline however not for a least a year or two. I know people will just buy the new ones if the old one breaks since it's cheaper
