At $50k a day, I could handle a whole lot of shit talking about a product I made. I also wouldn't care too much if they weren't using it correctly. Hell, I wouldn't care at $1k a day. There has got to be more to it than this. I'll be shocked if there isn't.
From the sounds of it, it's not even mudslinging. Meeting the prime minister and interviewing with Forbes seems to have pushed him over the edge. I think he has some serious anxiety problems.

I don't have much of an opinion on flappy birds...it seems like a shitty version of the helicopter game that the developer probably just made to practice his programming skills. But I do hope people leave the guy alone and stop judging him. And I hope his future is full of better accomplishments than creating flappy birds, lol

Well that's...odd, I guess? I really don't know what to make of this. I've heard of writers, actors, artists, and singers taking a break and getting tired of the thing that made them famous, and thus wanting nothing to do with it. Never ever heard of a game developer doing that though. This is a first.

Apparently, because he's Korean, he was being investigated for income taxes on the $50,000/day he was making from the game. Furthermore, it is possible (albeit neither confirmed nor denied) that he was under threat of a lawsuit from Nintendo for copyright infringement (the pipes looked remarkably like those found in Mario games)
