Having a bit of a nostalgia moment right now. Anyway, a bit of history. When I was a kid, I didnt have much money, and couldnt buy new games as I please (mostly birthday and christmas affairs), So I used to browse the internet and play various flash and shockwave games. Not on those random arcae sites though, I used to play these games on the Lego and Cartoon Network Websites. And surprisingly, they were actually pretty good. Lego had Junkbot, Worldbuilder, and Lego Movie Studios. Cartoon Network had a Teen Titans fighing game, and a TBS game where you controlled 3 mechs, and one of them had a sword (I had never seen the show.

So, in terms of discussion value, did anyone used to play these kind of games? What were they and what do you think of them now?

Much of what I do in terms of Flash is found on Newgrounds. Aside from that, I sometimes get the desire to play other games, like...the original Tron arcade game.

I have been known to play flash games when terribly bored. For the most part I don't care to sort through them to find a gem worth playing.

Not only did I play Junkbot, I know the guy who made it. I agree it was something of a classic - my son is a total Lego fanatic and he used to play it obsessively.
But it was Shockwave, not Flash. I like to point this out because I'm a Director programmer and Shockwave rocks. Thank you.

I played all of those games. Good times. Although, both sites have gotten rather bad, nowadays.

As far as I'm concerned the be all and end of all of Flash games is Heli Attack 2. There are few games that have immersed me in such storyless pure gameplay as Heli Attack 2.

just finished playing it, and I have to say...I am dissapoint. First off the controls are really stiff and awkward(why is DOWN block? it should be back)! Secondly the animations (orrather lack thereof) are also stiff, theree no standing animation, they're just perfectly still....ill reluctantly try the knd game again...
