Alright Escapists.
I need an original concept for a fun, simple, addicting flash game.
If I use your idea, your name goes in the credits.

Simple? Bugger.

See if you can get a 2d platformer going. Then with the basics of that down you could make loads of different types, a puzzle platformer like Trine/Braid or the classic Mario style.

I had the basics of one down in AS2 but I'm learning AS3 now so scratched it and it needs restarting. I'm thinking Point and Click Adventure/Contra.

It's really not that hard to think of a flash game, come up with your own ideas. The least you can do is just copy another game and put your own twist to it, even if it's just for programming practice.

Usually i wouldn't mind someone asking for help on ideas, but you've basically asked "come up with a brilliant game for me".

For me it is hard to come up with ideas. If you don't want to contribute, that's fine.

What about a rock-paper-scissors game. But the rock, paper and scissors are fighters in a gradius style flying game. The one you can beat is a power-up and the one an enemy. To make it harder, you switch from one to the other every bow and then.

Or some sort of jumping puzzle. You are a [vampire stand-in] an you must cross a room without touching sunlight. With stuff like curtains that blow open periodically and finishing a room before the sun rises.

I hope this helps a bit

I mean, I don't understand what you mean by 'Gradius Style', but this is the first thing that came to mind when I read over that.

I mean, I don't understand what you mean by 'Gradius Style', but this is the first thing that came to mind when I read over that.
With "Gradius style" I mean like Gradius [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gradius], but with rock-paper-scissors as the fighters. The idea is that when you choose to play as paper, all the enemies become scissors, which you can defeat by firing rocks at them.
You can expand by adding different kinds of (rock/scissor/)paper ships, (paper/rock/)scissor enemies and (scissor/paper/)rock upgrades
