Hello my wonderful Escapist! today I ask of you a favour, I have recently made a Flash animation for school homework, however I use Flash 8, and the school uses MX. As a result, it refuses to play my Flash. Can anyone help me bypass this?

There should be a way to save it in a compatability mode or similar. Well, I hope there is, I'm not much of a flash user.

- File
- Save As...
- Save it as a Flash MX 2004 document

If you just want to play the animation on a Flash Play:
-File
-Export
-Export Movie
-Save it as a Flash movie (.swf)
-At the window that pops up you can choose the Flash player version

That should do the trick.

You can also hope that your school's internet browser has an up-to-date flash player plug-in and open the .swf file with Internet Explorer or something.
