Flies

Anyone know how to get rid of flies? I've had a look at several sites, and tried everything, but they keep coming back.

I'm certain there's no food lying around for them to feed on, and no damp places they like to stay. They seem to be confined to the living room.

I've tried leaving tubs of vinegar around, I've tried using Raid, I've tried fly paper. I've even improvised two methods: wait until most of them are swarming around the light, then pick up the vacuum cleaner and suck them all in. Then I got some 2-liter juice bottles, sprayed them full of deoderant from a CFC can, lit the lip of the bottles and turned off other lights; home-made bug zapper. All work for a while but more and more appear.

Any ideas?

Befriend them, and then come and talk to them every day. Eventually they'll be sick of your coompany and leave.

I don't want to be their friend. I want to commit genocide. Or rather, I have been commiting genocide on a daily basis for weeks now, but I want to render the little bastards extinct. >.<

I don't know if that keeps them out as much as it keeps them in.

Find out where they're coming from, and stop them. If it's not the windows, find another place. They must be coming from somewhere.

I enjoy hoovering them up, and laughing at their drowned little bodies, and swatting them en masse - most exercise I've had in years - but now they're pissing me off. Plus my housing association is whining about it.
