Sorry about this, to all who don't like it.
But anyway, I have the Flu, can't sleep, feeling depressed and have nothing to do.
So is there anything you want to say?
But hey, if that doesn't count as discussion value, then "What do you do when you're ill? Aside from playing video games."

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad. I've just recovered from a bad case of the cold and it's been driving me insane to not be able to do anything.

So, let me share my following guide to "keeping mental health while isolated"-tips:

1: The obvious and already mentioned: video games
2: I tend to try to write as much as possible when I'm feeling bad, just to get it out of my head and vent my thoughts.
3: If you really invest yourself, you could quest on the internet for the ultimate porn, it usually kills a couple of hours.
4: When all else fails, annoy the cat. Annoy the sh*t out of the closest thing to you. To bad it's the cat in my case. :)

Ha! Just reading 4 made me feel better...
And I like the thought of 2. I've had enough of blasting headless bomb men on Serious Sam.
Thanks.

Oh, and Captcha: ax[power of 4 sign].
Interesting.

I don't wish the flu on anyone, scurvy yes, but not the flu.

I'm still fighting my head cold and I'm part of a crew running a show, it's really hard not to cough or sneeze while the show is running.

When I'm sick I either read, if I'm not too miserable, play games, or watch really bad movies. Why? To try to forget that I'm sick and divert the pain to my eyes and brain as I'm watching a terrible train wreck play out before me.

I have the exact opposite stance on the "flu over scurvy" wish you have. :p

Bad movies don't work for me. >_< I have to have a project to really "get out of my head". heck, sometimes I clean the entire apartment while I should be in bed.

Well that's only because when I get the flu, I get it bad. I lay on the bathroom floor and pray for the sweet release of death.

Actually when I get sick, which is rare, I get it bad and I'm miserable for a few days, so all I can do is stare mindlessly at something or play pokemon. I would clean my area when I'm sick but I have this peace treaty with the dust bunnies in such occasions, and as such we do not discuss the events that lead up to that treaty.

But that is the best time to strike. When they least expect it, when they think you are weak!

For me, I can't stand just lying down when I'm sick. The more I wallow in how bad I feel, the worse it gets. I tend to try to forget by doing something that occupies my mind in such a way that I do not think about how I feel. It's probably not the best solution though, I once passed out on one of my "sick walks" and had to be picked up by an ambulance.

Feel better.

I don't have time to be sick. Unless I'm puking my guts out of unconscious I continue my regular routine. Screw you flu, I got projects to do!

I normally strike when they are content, they need to know happiness doesn't last.

Yeah that was me in college, it was during finals week that I was still going to class when I was really sick. It was stupid, and I've only passed out once. I was getting out of bed and I was gonna do some errands when I blacked out, and I woke up hours later near my bed with my dog staring at me, and wondering if I was ok.

Strange I just had the flu last week along with a stomach flu at the same time, that was the most sick I've ever been so I know the pain your going through. As to what you can do well there really wasn't a lot that could be done when I had it except taking some medicine and resting so just try and deal with it and pray that you aren't sick for a week and a half like I was.

Watch some "surviving in the wild with X"i find them fairly entertaining while i'm sick.
Some interesting things:
I met this old hippie who told be about his experiences with drugs and music. While i was showing him the tech in the community radio station i work at.He also has a fecked up leg that he has to amputate and he likes talking about dirty things.

I have a cat that likes water. When a tap is dripping she sits on the side of the sink her head under the tap trying to bite the water. She likes walking around in the bath when i'm washing gotten stuff that can't be put in the washing machine.

I saw this woman on one of those public security cams snort coke and then give a guy a BJ
true story they were in a telephone box.

I take a cocktail of over-the-counter medications and retire to my bed with my blu-ray collection.

I've just gotten past a bout, I get it alot, annoyingly... My voice doesn't open up again for many days after I've gotten better. Fine for talking, not for singing.

Watch a lot of movies or, if you don't have any dvds in the house, watch a lot of television. And, if you feel up to it, read a lot of books or magazines. Maybe mess around on the computer, a trip to t.v. tropes.org can suck away hours of your life if you're not careful. I would suggest searching for porn, but when I'm sick really sick I just can't get interested in porn.
