Fondest LAN memories!

I was sitting here lurking and I thought about some good memories I got from one of the many LANs I've been to... I got two I'll share with you guys!

First one is when we where at a mates house and he put 3 king sized beds together to one megabed! That was the time I shared a bed with 7 guys and 2 girls... Good times!

The other one is my first visit to Dreamhack! Dreamhack is the worlds largest LAN with over 20 000 people from all over Scandinavia come and play games! Its so awesome!

So let's hear your stories!

Playing Command and Conquer 3 with my cousin.

We were versing 2 hard NOD. I was Scrin, he was GDI. The whole game we were struggling to hold them just outside our bases.

I finally created a strike force of about 20 PACs and made a push, he covered me from the ground with Mammoths. I got over their outer base, lost ALL of the PACs but managed to place a portal within their defenses. I got a Drone Ship through, set up, built a Signal Transmitter, called in a Mothership, and force attacked my Signal Generator.

NOD pace their bases REALLY tightly with defenses, I destroyed both the enemy bases with 1 well planned attack. It was amazing.

Dawn of War with my Dad I played Eldar he played Space Marines it was the 2 of us against like 6 or more max difficulty orks. We held out for longer than expected seeing that I wasn't very good at the game back then....

No, it was shut down not long after so I didn't get the chance. It wasn't in a well travelled spot so I doubt it received much business. I felt bad but this was years ago when I was younger and couldn't afford to own up to my own 'jackassery'.

I once went to a LAN where we had 20 ppl all playing unreal tournament together all in the same room too, there was a lot of shouting and it was very intense and I enjoyed it immensely.

Last winter, I attended something called ULAN, which was a local LAN-thingy with 100+ people.
The LAN was located in the cafeteria of a local high school, and said cafeteria had a huge glass wall with four massive glass doors leading out, but they were closed due to the temperature outside. Note that it was winter, and it was about -15 degrees Celsius outside.

What happened:
The temperature inside became pretty high during the first night (25-26 degrees Celsius), and some massive idiot decided to open some of the doors, making the room freezong cold in my opinion..

Spoiler: My reaction. This is a picture of me about 2 minutes after the incident with the doors. And yes, I am wearing a beanie underneath the hood, and the headset outside the hood. Also, I'm wearing mittons.

I may have overreacted a little bit when the doors opened. But I don't like the colds.

UT2004, playing using no weapon other than the translocator, much to the annoyance of my University's gaming society as I just never died (never got kills either though... but I was a huge distraction apparently xD)
