I got this idea for a thread when I almost poured soy sauce on my waffles this morning, thinking it was the syrup. Have you ever thoroughly ruined a meal or came close to ruining it by mistake?

I once made peanut butter cookies. It called for X amount of sugar, so I put some white sugar looking stuff in there. Turns out it was salt, but me and my family didn't figure that out until we all bit into our first cookie XD.

They were disgusting, so we gave them to the midget with wings who lives in our trashcan...

I once tried making brownies from a mix. I read the directions wrong and ended up having double the amount of one of the ingredients.

I put some pancakes in the microwave and mistakenly pushed the '10 min' button. Burned a whole through the plate and the house smelled like burnt pancakes all day.

Wore white to an Italian restaurant. I came out looking like Steve Carell from the scene in "The 40-year-old Virgin" after he got his chest hairs ripped out.

This happened to my housemate:
He decided to bake a nice choccy cake for his girlfriend (bless)*puke*.
He thought it'd be quick and easy to BLEND the cake mix.
So I'm like "Wtf? You don't blend cake mix, you whisk it you numpty."
He proceeded ignore me and blend the cake mixture anyway, getting most of it jammed around the blade, and eventually getting it in the oven.
Some time later he comes out with this big round flat biscuit-looking thing. It was like eating a really big stale Oreo.

I cant remember what it was, it was a long time ago, but I put ketsup on something when I wanted to put it on something else. I was having a distracting convo, didnt even realize until the first bite. I think, it was either a pizza or a salad that ended up katsuped.
