ok, i just happened to make myself something good for a change and found out when i first want to make something nice i might also make something (hopefully) healthy so if you dont know waht to make for dinner maybe this can be something to go for?

i dont give any specific ammount of how many of what you need, this is simply up to each individual to find out how much you will use of each. just use your brain (and stomach)
you need:
*potatoes
*rutabaga
*chalott onion
*mushroom
*broth
*carrot
*salt
*water
*meat/sausage?

ok, start with peeling the potatoes and rutabaga, cut them into pieces as big as regular dices. cut the onion, carrot and mushroom too. put it all into a boiler that is big enaugh for everything and more. fill it with water (the water should exceed the ingrediances and 1/3 of the content in addition. use some vegetable broth in it as well, how much you pretty much decide yourself and if you want meat in it feel free to try, but i only tried the "vegetar version". it should boil up and then boil on weak heat for about 20-25 minutes.

believe me, it is really good and healthy:)

Only one of these things isn't edible, can you guess which one?

That's right, it's the Pot Noodle.

On topic: Cheese, lots of it.

And some bread.

We've got that already. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.106909] Curtesy of the searchbar.
Your recipe looks pretty good by the way, a proper stew.

Don't worry, I like your thread Elgenx. Here is a recipe for southern style rice pudding.

1/2c.brown rice
1/2c.white rice
4c.water
1/4+1tbl sugar
1/4tsp cinnamon
1/8tsp nutmeg
1/16tsp ginger
1tbl of vanilla
1c. of golden and regular raisins
2c. of whole milk

Very Important-a day or two before you make this soak the raisins in rum. 1/2c. of rum to every cup of raisins. Soak in an airtight container, unrefridgerated.

Simmer the rice and the water for 35min. Stir in milk and sugar. Simmer another 20 min. Stir in rest of ingrediants and simmer 10 min longer.

Very Important-Stir mixture frequently during the cooking process. Also helpful to use a non-stick cooking pot. You may have to add more milk to mixture due to altitude and humidity.

Serve with whip cream. ice cream, or dust with cinnamon, also can be served hot or cold.

We do indeed. The only problem is, at least with me, is that once I get going, I can't really stop, I just keep thinking of things to make, so i end up wanting a sandwich, and end up with a full buffet.

I`m not American but if no deep frying occurs I`m not into it.
You are aware that other countries do use deep fryers, right? ;)

I really like California Blend:

1 pkg. mixed vegetables, cooked as pkg. calls for
1 tube Ritz crackers, crushed
1 stick butter, melted (or less)
1 sm. pkg. Velveeta cheese (8 oz.) cubed (or less)

Melt butter and toss with crumbs. Cook vegetables, just until tender, drain and mix with cheese and about 3/4 of the cracker crumbs. Mix well. Put in greased casserole and to with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Easy to make and tastes awesome.
