I assume you're on about "soccer" football, not that American rubbish. I used to play these games quite a lot in my youth (Soccer boss on the Amstrad 454 was the Pinnacle of all management sims) but these days I'm too out of touch with the beautiful game to do well at them, and they take quite a bit of invested time, of which I don't have much of these days.
