Today I had to make a quick visit to my doctor's office to get my eye checked out. After a few minutes of examination the he deemed it time for me to remove my eye patch, and so I did. Once again I was welcomed with the wondrous gifts of depth perception and a full 160[sup]o[/sup] field of vision. As I glanced though my left eye once more and looked back on the month that I had been wearing it and how I had somewhat grown used to not being able to see anything left of my nose and having difficulty judging distance. Now however I am filled with a renewed vigor by the fact that I have two functioning eyes. I no longer take my eyesight for granted and shall forever cherish this gift.

Have you ever been in a situation that made you cherish what you once had (or recovered)? If so what happened and how did it change you? Do you still cherish it?

Pretty much all of life can include the line "You don't know what you have until you don't have it anymore." Even when I move my 360 and forget the power cable, I start to hold those long nights staring at my pile of games and still feeling like I have nothing to do in higher regard.

My right hand after I broke it and was unable to write.
I had to learn to be ambidextrous, that's a *****.

My brother surviving a bout with colon cancer really changed how I look at people and life in general.

I didn't realise you were a pirate!

Why'd you give it up?

I couldn't see out my right eye for a while after ripping half my face open...so I feel lucky to see out of it cause I may have lost sight in it.

So I'm pretty much in the same boat as you Suiseiseki.

PS3 is on the blink, and I'm going stir crazy with not being able to get my daily video game fix.

Because it let me down.
And it ran around, and deserted you.

I see what you did there.

Being in college makes me miss home-cooked meals. But no longer! For I have used my panini maker!

After being away from certain people for a while, I am really thankful when I see them again. Also, going on trip through Algonquin Park made me realize how much I missed indoor plumbing and dry shoes.

EDIT: And there should be a badge for setting up a Rick Roll.

That is a brilliant idea. I would love to have a badge of Rick Astley's face on my profile.

When I broke my both hands in an accident... Darn I didn't know that mr leftie and ms rightie are so important xP.

Honestly though it was pretty tiring. I couldn't ANYTHING for over a month.

OH! And once I lived on a vacations without any electronics for over two weeks. When I got home I hugged my pc and ate nothing but mac-donalds for 3 days.
