Although, I never played Prince of Persia, so I don't know what happened.
I felt way bad for him, he spent 10 years of his life trying to find the answers and the person who could give them to him just blows him off. I thought the ending was brilliant, didn't really catch on that Minerva was talking to Desmond until she tells Ezio to shut up. Afterwards when the screen went black and Desmond was like "What the fuck!" pretty much summed it up for me. He definitely did not see that coming.Woodsey said:On a side note, when Ezio yells: "wait! I have so many questions!" when Minerva disappears, did anyone else feel bad for him?
His purpose in life was to give way to someone far more important (Desmond), and Minerva dismisses him so carelessly, after everything. He never really understands, despite his involvement; I found it to be quite sad.
It shouldn't be about a guy observing the memories of his ancestor, it should just be a story about an assassin. And just because the pope is in Italy doesn't mean that they have to have magic, simple religion works, no god needed to intervene.JimmyBassatti said:Who cares? It's a game about an Assassin in Italy. You know, the place where the Pope lives? Of course they will have bits of religion in them. And how is a game about a guy who is in the past, in the place of his ancestors, realistic? Not all games need to be, "I SHOT YOU, YOU WILL BLEED TO DEATH!".HUBILUB said:I hated the ending. I don't want a sci-fi plot twist involving religion at the end of a game about an ASSASSIN IN ITALY! Plot Twist does not equal great story telling, I hate that Assassins Creed has all these magic elements when it really should try to be more realistic. Assassins Creed 1 could have been better if there wasn't magic involved, Assassins Creed 2 could have been waaaaaaaaaaaay better if it didn't have all these conspiracy theories and religious plot twists. I'm very disappointed at this games ending.
You're supposed to be confused. It's setting up Assasin's Creed 3.Julianking93 said:*Snip*

Realistic= Not explaining that magic solves shit. I want a consistent setting all the way, not a consistent setting for 90% of the game and then have a mindfuck plot-twist about gods and magic.
Both Assassins Creed games put me in the mindset that I was a normal assassin in a normal setting, and then push in tons and tons of mindfucks at the end for both of them.![]()
Not quite. Sci fi and fantasy can blend well.Lt. Vinciti said:Assassin's Creed suffers from one main draw back

Although I admit, I didn't like the story, but it was still one of the most awesome games this year.
And, as for Assassin's Creed 3, I think it should be set in Russia during World War I, specifically starting before Lenin and the many revolutions he attempted, and ending with the character poisoning Lenin during his final days, where he lay paralyzed because of his stroke. The other ones weren't completely accurate, so you could end it with the character helping Lenin die, and fleeing Russia when Stalin became all crazy powerful after his death.
