Any Stuidio Ghibli film...

All I suggested were anime movies by the way.

You pretty much just named all my favorites.

Other than that, I'd say The Orphanage, Gozu, Ichi the Killer, and House of Flying Daggers.

Awesome flick. My friend Becky is into foreign films, so we watch a lot of them.

Sadly, we watch so many, in so many different languages, I forget 99% of their titles.

Oldboy and Brotherhood, both Korean films, both amazing.

City of God, a Brazilian film, well worth the watch.

Amélie, French film, absolute classic.

Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbour Totoro, and the other Studio Ghibli films are all brilliant too.

If you like Pan's Labyrinth check out Devil's Backbone. It's done by the same guy. I actually like DBb more than PL, but that's purely personal taste

Cidade de Deus (City of God. Some of the best cinematography ever.) a lot of Slumdog Millionare seemed to be trying to be like City of God

Ondskan. Swedish movie about a prep school in the 50s. BADASS main character.

Though it's not foreign in the sense of language- The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
English movie with an AMAZING story. Also rare/controversial for being made during WWII and having a German character sympathetic to the English.

BRILLIANT movie

I like a lot of those American films. Star Wars is good.

I just saw Ponyo today, and I thought it was really good (if a bit strange).

Mr. Vengeance and Lady Vengeance (Korean, if you liked Oldboy, check them out as well)
Martyrs
High Tension (Switchblade Romance in UK)
Frontier(s) (all three French)
The Experiment
After the Truth (both German)
Irreversible (extremely disturbing, though, keep that in mind) - France/Argentina

Other important ones are already mentioned.

Those two are among the most retarded movies ever made, but so much fun to watch.

I'm an american! I don't watch that foreign crap. Especially that crazy shit from Japan! THAT MIYAZAKI GUY CAN DIE IN A FIRE.

[sub]/fake xenophobia[/sub]

I'm watch it, if its good. But I won't watch subbed anime. EVER. Not once. I'll watch subbed foreign works of any other kind though. And any kind of dub. Even poorly done ones.

Not that I frequently do.

Fucking Amal is pretty damn good. If you liked Let The Right One In you'll probably like this movie.

And if you're in the mood for the most uncomfortable tragic comedy ever made, go watch Festen.

Der Untergang, if I have the right film in my mind.

The last days of Hitler, no?

It was an interesting film, unfortunately I missed the last half hour.

The only foreign film I've really ever watch was 12, a Russian remake of 12 Angry Men, it's a bit slow paced but all the actors are great and it leaves you with a lot to think about.

By foreign, I assume you mean non-english. Foreign could mean British films if your from America.
I've seen my fair share of foreign language films... They are always on late... sometimes I might watch them if the TV guide gives an interesting description. As I said, they ae always on late so I can never remember them after a week cos I'm usually half asleep during them...

However, in german class, we watch a lot of german films... My favourites would be :
'Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei' [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Edukators] (or 'the Edukators'),
'Absolute Giganten' [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_Giganten]
or the one we watched recently 'Die Falscher' [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Counterfeiters_(film)] (The Counterfeiters)
