I don't mind other songs in english. But I'm afraid I laugh at other languages, I cant help it.
¿Que?

(This may also make Fawlty Towers fans laugh at the Manuel reference)
I thought I was the only person on the planet who's seen that show. :p

Anyway, yeah, I like foreign music, but don't choose to listen to it. It's better than 90% of the shit from America that I don't listen to, though.

ie: Spanish pop is better than American pop. Japanese pop is better than American pop. But Dragonforce is better than Japanese power metal. (Not like I even fucking like Dragonforce, but I've seen some terrible Japanese power metal.)

Besides, why generalize shit like that since there are exceptions to every rule?

Of course I don't blatantly hate music from other countries. Ayumi Hamasaki has a great voice, and as people said, most electronic music is better done in Europe.

All of that said, there's plenty of decent music from every country if you know where to look.

Yea I like foreign music. Especially taiko [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1hHCdK85HQ&feature=related] (Japanese drum music, awesome stuff) and Spanish guitar music [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFufY5CVxMg]. I'm also a huge jazz fan (bebop), but I don't label that as foreign, since almost everything is technically foreign for me (live in Holland, small country).

Some of the best music comes out of Iceland. I am a huge Sigur Ros fan but i like Amiina, who were the string quartet on all his albums except his latest one and since made they're own album, even more. The is alot of great Post-Rock coming out of Iceland.

I listen of french music. I do not understand it but it is beautiful none the less. I also listen to alot of African and Jamaican Reggae and Ska and i love Latin music as well.

I listen to a bit of japanese music but mostly instrumental stuff. Merzbow is some awesome noise and i love the composition of Akira Yamaoka.

So in short yes, yes i do listen to foreign music but i listen to all music. I like someone from almost every genre there is.

Oh hell yes.

Taiko with some Japanese flutes and chimes gets my blood pumpin'.

There's something so basic and primitively satisfying in the beat of a huge-ass drum.

Worrrrd, while I don't fancy wearing a diaper thingy while beating those drums, like they sometimes do. This [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09vfa4vuHFY] is a great example as well, taiko mixed with shamisen FTW!

Don't interrupt me when I'm eating food to later regurgitate to my kids.

You're taking puke out of my children's mouths.
Yeah, but they're not your kids are they? You stole them from that nice couple you murdered when they crossed over that bridge you were hiding under. I saw what you did. Now you spend your time vomiting the half digested remains of their parents into their mouths like the sick monster you are. You disgust me and that's saying something.

On topic: Mainland European, US and australian techno of various types. Metal from europe and US, punk from US. Nothing that I would call foreign language music though.

Most of the music I listen to in a foreign language is in Finnish or German and I understand about 90% of it. One band I listen to sing in Latin, Italian, German and English which is kind of cool.

French Jazz is awesome - Paris Combo rocks! There's a Japanese band (or there was) called 'IF' which was awesome because they had a song with the lyrics "Choc Chip cookie and Black Coffee BREAK!". In terms of German music I love Wir Sind Helden, and have a huge fondness for 80's pop band Die Prinzen. I also like Amr Diab (sp?) fo a fix of Arabic. =)

EDIT: Sorry, the Japanese band is Da Pump, the album/single whatever was IF.

Listen to a lot of Finnish, German, Swedish and some Norwegian metal, punk and folk music. Also bands like Mad Capsule Markets, Maximum the Hormone (Japan), Leningrad (Russia), SKA-P (Spain). Theres quite a few foreign bands that sing (if you can call it that sometimes) in english like Sepultura - but am not really counting them.

Listen to Orishas (cuban rap). Awesome melodies and I can vaguely understand the lyrics.
