Okay, this is pretty much a random thought so I'm just gonna come out with it; do you think forever alone is a possibility? In other words do you think it's possible that someone could be so irredeemable, so ugly, without personal merit or even anything to exploit from them such as money or status, that anyone being attracted to them becomes impossible?

I would say yes. Hell, society's standards are pretty high, so you wouldn't even have to be completely useless.

Oh absolutely, I'm sure it happens more than most people realise.
It's sad really that society has sunk to such shallow depths.

Mind you, I suppose I myself am guilty of that, as I'm sure most people here are.
End of the day though, if they had no redeeming qualities...why would anyone wanna know them, eh?

On a side note, I effing love the meme.

Logically, yes. However, i've seen people who are complete and utter shite end up married (however briefly it may be). And i am talking seriously worthless people. Ugly, stupid, unlikable, unemployed, abusive old assholes. There is always someone with worse self esteem than you.

No.

You could always get a dog. They'll love you no matter how putridly ugly or rancidly vile you are.

Im quite sure people do end up alone, but i know some real scumbags who end up, at least for a brief while, with someone... so i dont see why anyone if they tried hard enough couldnt end up with someone.

Yes. Thinking everyone will find someone to love and be loved by is hopelessly naive.

why, of course

unless you count online friends. and this guy i know of doesn't even have many of them. neither is he able to keep "frindships" alive. he deliberately became a basement-dweller, inpersonating every clichée there might be about them; ugly, socially unapt, has severaly PCs and console in the basement of his father's house, where he still lives at age 26.

he shouldn't have moved from under the ceiling down to the basement. he's becoming more and more... unbearable, which is why several ppl, among myself, stopped any sort of contact.

having talked to former "friends" of him, he seems to not have gone through any sort of personal developement whatsoever since somewhere around age 14/15.
