A little backstory, in the midst of all this crazy holiday family togetherness i had the chance to spend some time with some of my younger family members, which i usually love as they are the only ones who find my knowledge about videogames and comicbook characters cool, and while trying to impress some of the newest additions to the family i discovered that i can no longer play the piano, wiggle my ears, whistle or do arm farts, it was rather embarrassing to say the least, i did manage to win them over again with my fancy phone and DS followed by a rant about how pokemon was so much better when i was a kid and why android is superior to apples OS (or maybe it was only the games).

What about you guys, what childhood talent have you lost while growing up, i know one of my mates used to be a fantastic gymnast, even winning tons of trophies and medals, now he can barely stand on one leg.

I miss being able to swim like a fish in the water, Used to dive off cliffs into the sea with my cousins in Ireland. Now I splash around like magicarp.

I miss being a fit 13 year old. I could run, climb and ride bikes for hours on end. Now I get out of puff if I walk upstairs too quickly...

Getting old sucks...

A childhood talent of mine was the ability to not need sleep and go out and be active all hours. As much as I love sleep, I wish I didn't need it so much.

I used to be very flexible and able to stretch into wierd shapes (can not do that anymore) and I used to have the pointless talent of being able to name every goalkeeper on every team in the english leagues (I told you it was pointless and I can not do it anymore). But I still have the ability to memorize and recall obscure facts and figures.

Tell me about it, i used to ride my bike 25km each way to and from school every day (that's a story i cant wait to tell my grand kids ^^) and run 10km every weekend, now i get sore from getting my mail.

But i was thinking more about certain talents you had like a kid, i assume you can still run, climb and ride your bike, whereas you may no longer be able to walk on your hands?

Oh yeah, I miss being as agile as I was. I'm just too big to go cartwheeling everywhere now..

Well if you wanna know how to do arm farts what you need to do is create a small pocket of air with your hand on your pit. Then when you press down your arm on your clasped hand it should expell the air. That is how to do arm farts.

OT: Arm farts were a talent that I had forgotten how to do. I have since relearned them after applying the principle of hand farts to making it work again.

I used to be able to bend my leg so that I could rest my foot on my stomach. Now I can barely have it straight in a 90 degrees angle when I kick.

I used to be able to play sport at a good level. Guess that's what you get for not practicing out of school...

I was able to do a summersault when I was younger, now I can't.

I was also a lot more knowledgable about dinosaurs.
I actually miss that talent.

Hmm probably not doing it right would be easier if I could show you but unfortunately that is not possible. It might take awhile to get it just right though so the important thing is you need to trap air with your hand after that it is just finding to get it right for you.

I used to be able to do a truly magnificent evil laugh. It has dwindled a bit now though.
I also used to be able to create tremendous burps on command. I haven't tried this in a few years, so I couldn't tell you if the talent has disappeared.

You still has! Except it's more of a stamina of staying awake. You aren't active per-say, but you can stay awake like nobodies business.
I don't think I've really lost my childhood talents. I can still wiggle my ears like a pro, I can still make squelching noises with my tongue... If I think of any, I'll come back.

I checked your profile, you're 24, that's not old. I'll let you slide on being out of breath at the top of stairs because you didn't specify how fast you were going up them or how tall they were.

Edit, whoops, got your age wrong, my math was off by a year, sorry.

Look outside, see those trees, I could probably climb every one, now I'd probably break the branches. Also I remember being a good soccer player, now I'm not so good.
