Grammar Nazi's. I once had a guy correct a whole paragraph and then my sentence, then posted his own stuff. My post was because I didn't use the correct "there". Fuck you buddy.

Also, the guy who goes around being a douche bag for no reason. Like when some one says something and that guy disagrees with it he lets them know in the most dickish of manners.

It has to be any post/thread/member that mentions the phrase "I have lost my faith in humanity".

It's just... ugh... fuck off.

That and people who show up in alcohol/smoking/sex (that relate to experience, not opinion) and go "I don't drink/smoke/have sex because I'm so clever and moral". If the thread is asking your opinion on any of these, fair enough, but don't comment in one just to point out how being dull makes you better than everyone else.
THIS!

May I also attach to this the people who embed the 'I don't want to live on this planet anymore' scene from Futurama over every. little. thing. I must have seen it done about 100 times and I'd wager less than 25 were actually over anything worth noting, and as a result it's just lost all sense of weight.

When people try to convert each other to their way of thinking. Its the internet, everyone isn't going to budge. Stop quote spamming in order to force the issue.

Oh and Grammar Nazis I appreciate the importance of English sentence structure and spelling when I'm writing a job application or an essay. When I'm having fun on the internet, I don't give a damn if I make a few mistakes along the way. You don't need to quote my entire post because one paragraph had some minor errors. You still understood the meaning I was trying to convey right? So kindly curb your enthusiasm and just post without attacking everybodies errores.

Oh the dreaded people who can't pick out blatant sarcasm and then call you out on it like your some sort of asshole. Also rude grammar nazis I can take it if I spelled something wrong but you don't got to be a douchebag about it.
It used to be a lot worse back in the day, in the before time, the long ago.

Your opinions were flatly ignored if you made a spelling error, that started to change when one of our members who got flamed turned out to be dyslexic* (why is that such a hard word to spell?, Doctors being ironic or something?) and they couldn't help the spelling errors, that and the influx of people with English as a second tongue, such as myself.

There were many other reasons but thats the biggie I can think of, I was really dissapointed with some members here because instead of taking time they merely "jump the gun" and berated the poor boy.

You should change your name to "Total Soliloquy" then, it would be very fitting.

The Last Weapon You used to Kill a Zombie in a Game is now your Faith In Humanity, but you've lost it!

Fuck it!, I just lost the Artemis with Gunslinger style from DMC3... I really like that gun too...

Damn you myself!, I've just lost faith in my gun!, or something

Go to your profile, on the right hand side the second clickable link should be "Update Account Information", from there you can change your profile name.

You can only change it once though, its too stop people trying to troll and change name and troll and change name, that sort of behaviour, so since you can only change once, choose wisely my friends.

Also the mods can see both your old name and new name, and the ban history carries over, just to warn you if you think your being softly softly sneaky catchy monkey!.

"Use the search bar!"

Oh, you use the search bar. Yeah, sure, sometimes this is the better thing to do, but maybe I don't want to necro a month old thread because just because it's topic is in the same general category as the one I'm talking about.

"It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it!"

Why are some people like, allergic to arguing? Yes it's your opinion, that's lovely. If you want to just keep it in a box and have no one ever touch it then why are you posting about it? If you want to challenge it, refine it and expand your horizons, expect some discussion, which might actually, miracle of miracles, disagree with you.

"Whatever, that's just YOUR opinion!"

Really? You mean the words typed into my message box, posted by me under my account aren't the opinion of beloved deceased 20th Century Casablanca Star Ingrid Bergman? STARS AND GARTERS!
Of course it's just my opinion. If I'm saying something, it's my opinion, I just don't feel like attaching a godforsaken disclaimer to every second sentence specifically outlining that I mean no one any offence and everything I said is my opinion and I didn't mean to imply that yours was wrong.

Well, to be fair, I'm certain that at least some of those threads/members/posts are being sarcastic.

I hate it whenever someone tries to bring real world debates or logic about a game that so obviously doesn't use them.

For example, "TF2 is wrong because no one can double jump."

No fucking shit.
You're my hero, Man!

I'm not much of a complainer but I'm just going to say I hate rude users. Yes, I know we all have opinions but even I type nice, friendly responses to dastardly remarks.

I know this is the internet where trolls are bred on an assembly line, but can't we all be nice to each other once in a while?

Ummh. well. To be quite honest; the bash on Christianity/anything that isn't atheism posts. I get tired of the same stuff all the time in a "MY OPINION IS FACT" sort of way.

Also, "YOUR OPINION IS WRONG, AND YOU'RE A FUCKTARD FOR HAVING FAITH IN SOMETHING ELSE" posts in religious threads. Surprisingly, more times that not, it's an atheist making those posts.

Buzzkills of the forums? I'd have to say all of those ones where the OP claims to have lost their faith in humanity. Even that one where the guy asked other people why they lost their faith. It was clever, but I knew that somebody actually took that one for serious and made a big rant about something. Glad I didn't see it.
You'd be suprised how many people actaully thought I was being serious. And the other people who got all mad because it was a "lost faith in humanity" thread. That's the problem with the internet. No one can hear your tone of voice, so you don't know whether or not someone is joking.

People who in most cases spew holier-than-thou bullshit and call anyone out at the slightest hint of discrimination, yet label all CoD players as retard frat-boy sheep. I can barely mention that enjoy CoD without some arse moaning, especially if I say that I don't like TF2 (or many Valve games for that matter).

Im not fussed about threads, any i dont like i dont comment on. But the annoying "the last character you played in a game/watched in a movie etc is now going to fight/be you" etc is boring.

Also those that say "this game is shit, tell me why i should play it?" is dumb. Why would i bother telling you why? Why would i care if you like or hate a game. Its your loss as far as im concerned.

I'm seriously getting pissed off at threads about morality (something like "The most evil film characters" or "Game characters who are the biggest dicks") where there are more than a few pretentious douchebags going "WUT IZ GUD N EVAL, RLY? DEY R NUTIN MOAR DAN ABSTRACKT CONCUPTZ." when it's clear that, long story short, something like giving food to a starving child is a good act and kicking the child in the face is an evil one.

Gee, I dunno, because you just labelled those acts with ABSTRACKT CONCUPTZ. As a robot human, I am simply unable to differentiate between the two.

Beep beep.

OT: People posting spoilers (not even with the bb code) in threads I don't expect to find spoilers in. If I could inflict horrifying pain on them, I would.

It's gotten better, but there was a time when every thread about alcohol, tobacco or recreationals would have at least one person asking why 'I don't do [X]' wasn't included in the poll [where applicable]. There are a lot of things I hate about 'nerd culture', but that attitude irks me the most. It reeks of sour grapes, and not the wine kind. Because alcohol is for frat-boys and people who get laid.
Whatever happened to that hacker subculture that was tied into cyberpunk and the rave scene? Did it ever exist, or was I just duped by The Matrix?
Options like that should be included in such polls. It's a public forum, so if you're going to poll people, make the options varied so as many people as possible can find something to pick. Instead, everyone's too busy making polls where the only options are some variant of "yes", "no", and "bacon lol" which pretty much destroys the point of the poll in the first place. You aren't getting and kind of serious discussion or votes because everyone picks the random option.

I was talking specifically about threads that discuss aspects of those substances, with the implied requirement that the discussion be conducted by those who actually use them. You know, because they're qualified to do so.
If you want to ask the community's opinion on, say, smoking, then non-smokers should be perfectly entitled to state their opinion.
But if you've made a thread about the weirdest experiences on acid that you've had, then people who don't do acid have no real business posting in it, especially if they're only there to disparage the drug and its users.
