As the topic suggests, this is the headquarters for forum explorers like me. I like to find topics, then find them later, when they're abandoned. I usually post a diary entry that describes what it looks like at whatever topic I'm at. Here's two examples:

1) http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.68064?page=11#943799
2) http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.68177?page=2#944121

Yours don't have to be as fancy as these, but don't just read this, decide it would take too long, and just go back to being a forum vagabond. Just add me as a friend or send me a message if you want to actually be part of the organization. Also, you can just post whatever you found and be on your way. Either way, if you found something of interest or you've made your own explorer diary, make sure you post it here! Happy hunting!

EDIT: Oh yeah. Don't be surprised if people start flocking to the topic you just explored. Your exploration puts it much higher in the list of topics.

Well, this seems like a fun campaign. I think I'll join in. Now I need to go and gather up some exploration gear first.

So, your going to necro old threads exclusively for the purpose of making an unrelated post that you will not revisit?

Suggestion: Edit an existing post of yours that is already in that thread. You don't have to necro the thread, it's better hidden and it makes for a more surreal experience. What with finding a disjointed diary entry among the posts of the thread and all.

If i may suggest, just link us to the first entry, then to the second in the first entry, the link to the third is in the second... and so on.

I used such a technique for a cross-thread battle, spilling over into old posts rather then derailing old or existing threads. It keeps the Mods happy-ish (I still don't know if they will approve even my suggested version) and prevents people reporting you for pointless necros. Also, it was Epic and Ultra when i did it, so it will work for you.

I think I actually agree with you on this. This whole idea seems somewhat stupid though if it works it would stop a few new threads about 'your favorite type of meat' or 'ask a'.

That seems like a really bad idea, couldn't you just look through topics without making a pointless note?

I mean if you really like a thread your computer does have a favorites button.

I like this idea. I'll go with it. For the people who are trying to hate, if you don't like it, go away.
