I think it might be time for Mr Mod to make a visit here, but if you look, there is a option in your profile for future signature possibility.
yeah some people are asses about their sigs... its a shame really cuz it really is a great way to express yourself and show your Photoshop prowess...

I'm actually kinda glad that there aren't signatures here. They often get out of hand. On my clan's forums, for example, I had one guy that would have the lyrics to entire rap songs as his signature, making it be as long as a good four or five posts. Every so often this would lead to either myself or one of my admins asking him to change it (and he often would to a different song) or even going into his profile settings and deleting it altogether.
Page clutter aside, I think that is the main reason why The Escapist will never allow signatures. With their presence comes the duty of extra moderation.

Mmm. Picture sigs do tend to make me want to rip my eyeballs out and stomp on them. Although I've seen a site or two which only allows words to be in your sig, and it seems to work out fine.
Of course, those sites are a LOT more strict about stupid people, plus they don't get a lot of traffic drawn from, say, funny web videos, which limits the whole "l33t sp33k" sigs.
