This is the internet. I am entitled to write as much shit in as short a time space as I wish >=D

I'm not doing too badly for however long I've been here, I don't think

I love how the people talked about in these threads never show up in them themselves
I'm just waiting for Max to show up and share his eternal wisdom.

If you can get a Max-level (see what I did there?) post count in a short period of time, and all your posts are good quality, then I don't see any problem with that. It's not the number of posts that matters, but the quality of them. If you have a massive post count as a result of posting one-word answers to everything, then, yes, that is a problem. But if you have a massive post count and have made valid contributions to discussions with your comments, then good for you.

it really seems like max is posting pretty fucking flat out to get that many posts in 6 months.
I once saw him post 200+ times in a day. It was quite frightening.

Well, I come here everyday. So isn't it natural that I post?

Plus, on somedays when I have to do projects, I've gotten 100 posts in a day, mostly because I like to have the site up whenever I get a chance to be on a computer. Not to mention and hour in school every day during free periods.

I do find it a little odd that some people have been on these forums only since even about March that have already Gone Gonzo.
Exactly. Every time I see one I just want to PM them and go "WTF!!!"

Some people feel the need to share their every thought. Some people wait until they have a serious, clear and original point to make before putting fingers to keys. We all find our own balance.

In the words of Jackie Chan: I like to let people talk who like to talk. (I know it makes no sense, it's Jackie Chan)
This.

It's Jackie Chan his martial art's does the talking for him?(maybe the only thing that comes to mind is that cartoon show of him*shudders*).

If someone doesn't have anything better to do, what's wrong with them enjoying these forums?

Personally, I seem to always find myself attracted to some forum or another, and sometimes I'm an avid poster and other times I'm much more casual, like I feel I am on here. I get bored, I come here cause I generally enjoy the topics, the discussions, and the people. If I didn't work full time and have a fiance and spend at least one day a week with my best friend generally playing video games, I'd probably have a much higher post count. I know there's tons of things I've missed on here.

I'm really not bothered what that little number says.

Doesn't discount my opinion, of which I have many and are not afraid to voice loudly.

I'm pretty sure you've outdone me in the post/time ratio.

I joined in November and I've got through periods of posting too much and periods of not posting at all and that tends to balance things out. I have to say I have to restrain myself from posting stupid comments or not adding something to the conversation and force myself just to log off some days...

...and yes, Max is a curious case...
is this max as in maxthereaper btw?
Yep, he's the only compulsive poster called 'Max' that I know of...I could be wrong though...

You never know what's going on in people's personal lives; they may be disabled, out of work, not have a lot of friends, any reason really to get so many posts. That's why i try to reserve judgement on people for spending all their time on here.

I have a succesful business, a wife and two kids, so some people might see my post count as too high given my circumstances, I don't know. Either way, it's not a race, and there's no way to win even if it was.

For me, it's "How Little is Too Little?"

I'm close to getting 1000 posts and I've been here since December 2007.

Fuck my booked up schedule. :(

EDIT: Make that January 2008.
